Don’t ignore that I said “posturing”. I’m not addressing the legal arguments of Roe, but rather the necessary PR that it was settled.

Platforms aren’t legally binding so taking something out of the platform is practically meaningless. Now if they were adding in protective language and running on that, it’s a different conversation.

I’m not very familiar with the case but reporting at the time was her son and his father beat up a man, who fled and returned with others, and the fatal stabbing occurred.

Four people were eventually charged and sentenced.

She’s understandably upset that her son didn’t get the justice she felt he deserved. Plea deals are a reality of the criminal justice system, though. Prosecutors were concerned the case against two suspects couldn’t be argued beyond reasonable doubt and offered plea deals.
