The failure comes just more than a month after the company’s seventh Starship flight also ended in an explosive failure. The back-to-back mishaps occurred in early mission phases that SpaceX has easily surpassed previously, indicating serious setbacks for a program Musk has sought to speed up this year.

If you paid attention during physics class you will remember the third law of ego-dynamics.

Namely: when two egos of equal mass occupy the same orbit, the system will eventually become unstable, resulting in an explosive separation and some very nasty tweets.

To see this theory in action please have a gander at the dramatic collapse of the Donald Trump and Elon Musk bromance. The news has been a nonstop horror show for what feels like forever.

Watching two of the very worst people in the world direct their nastiness at each other is extremely cathartic.

While I won’t contain my glee, I will collect myself long enough to go over the backstory. First, as you know, Musk spent $277m to help get Trump elected.

If this happened somewhere else we would call it corruption and the US might invade the country to install democracy. But this is the US we’re talking about, so it was fine.

After Musk donated all those quids, Trump provided the quo. Musk got his Doge gig, through which he weakened all the agencies that were regulating his businesses in the name of saving the US a load of money.……..

Another article that doesn’t mention the Epstein allegation from Musk. Sigh. They’re sweeping it under the rug again. So frustrating.

    Just a playground scuffle

I’m sure they’ll be best buds again soon

Not it isn't, Jack. But since you don't possess a phallus, it's understandable you don't get it.

If this disagreement were based on "manly" traits, they'd have a fistfight in the Oval Room. This tweety chickenshart? Straight outta Real Housewives.

Well .... rumor is that did happen, but it was between Musk and Stephen Miller. And it was because Musk stole Miller's wife and she's now going to work for him. Who knows, maybe she'll be Musk next baby mama.

The spat between President Donald Trump and Tesla/SpaceX CEO Elon Musk – his top 2024 campaign donor — has quickly escalated into a very public feud. And Trump is apparently waging war against Musk through the media.

On Friday, Mediaite editor in chief Aidan McLaughlin tweeted that the 47th president of the United States "has been calling news anchors all day to dunk on Elon Musk," and isn't just sticking to conservative outlets. Along with Fox News' Bret Baier, Trump also called CNN host Dana Bash, ABC News White House reporter Jonathan Karl and CBS News national correspondent Robert Costa to attack the South African centibillionaire.

"Trump is not interested in talking to Elon, Trump is not worried about threats of a third party," Trump told Baier, according to Fox host (and former Trump White House press secretary) Kayleigh McEnany. She added that Baier said that Trump told him that Musk "has totally lost it."

Costa told his followers on X that Trump assured him in a call that "he is moving forward with his presidency today and 'totally' focused on policy matters, not Musk." Trump reportedly added that he doesn't "focus on anything else" outside of his job as president.

Meanwhile, Bash – CNN's chief political correspondent — told the network's John Berman that when Trump called her, he insisted that he is "not even thinking about Elon," and added that "the poor guy's got a problem."

"He said he won't be speaking to him for awhile but he said he wishes Elon Musk well," Bash continued, noting that men in the orbit of both Trump and Musk have been pushing for them to cease hostilities. "The blast radius from this fallout is really, really big and very wide."

Finally, Karl tweeted that when he spoke with Trump, the president argued that Musk was "the man who has lost his mind." The ABC reporter observed that Trump did not "seem angry or even concerned about the feud," and that he was "not particularly" interested in speaking with Musk to reconcile.……

    Fork the both of them.

They should just settle this with a duel. You know, the old fashioned way. Would be nice if they both lose. Yeah.
