Anxiety surges as Donald Trump may be indicted soon: Why 2024 is 'the final battle' and 'the big one'

WASHINGTON – It looks like American politics is entering a new age of anxiety, triggered by an unprecedented legal development: The potential indictment of a former president and current presidential candidate.

Donald Trump's many legal problems – and calls for protests by his followers – have generated new fears of political violence and anxiety about the unknowable impact all this will have on the already-tense 2024 presidential election

I’ll reframe this is a more accurate way, Are Presidents above the law? This new age was spurred into existence when home grown dummies elected a corrupt, mentally ill, anti-democratic, would be dictator as President and don’t bother to hold him responsible for his crimes, don’t want to because in the ensuing mayhem and destruction, they think they will be better off. The man is actually advocating violence (not the first time). And btw, screw democracy too. If this feeling spreads, we are In deep shirt.

This goes beyond one treasonous Peice of work and out to all his minions. This is on you or should we be sympathetic to the idea of they can’t help being selfish suckers to the Nation’s detriment? Donald Trump is the single largest individual threat to our democracy and it‘s all going to boil down to will the majority of the GOP return to his embrace and start slinging his excrement to support him?

My suggestion…a bit disturbing. 😳

A journalist who profiled President Donald Trump in 1984 said he was so upset by a detail in the story that he ordered his staff to buy up every copy they could find.

Former Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter, 75, told MSNBC that he profiled Trump over 40 years ago for GQ, and hung around the real estate developer for “three weeks” to learn about him. But he wasn’t happy about everything in the article, Carter told MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough Thursday.

“There were a few things he didn’t like about it, including the fact that I said it looked like his hands were too small for his body,” Carter said. “He didn’t like it at all — he liked the cover, but he didn’t like anything else.”

So he “has his staff buy up every copy they could find in the newsstands in New York,” Carter added.

Carter’s profile offered several details about Trump’s appearance: “6-foot-2-inch frame, is trim but well-nourished. The hands small and neatly groomed. The suit is blue and stylish – maybe a little too flared in the leg for someone who lives east of the Hudson,” he wrote.

“About the only thing that gives away this striver from an outer borough are his cufflinks: huge mollusks of gold and stone the size of half-dollars,” the profile continues.

The detail about Trump’s hands didn’t go unnoticed. Secretary of State Marco Rubio used the detail to hit at Trump when he ran against him in the 2016 Republican primary: “You know what they say about guys with small hands – you can’t trust ‘em.”

That’s not all people say about guys with small hands.

Carter explained that his profile triggered something of a butterfly effect.

GQ’s owner “thought this guy is a star… because the sales of that issue of GQ were so strong,” Carter explained. “So he ordered up a book, which became The Art of the Deal.”

The Art of the Deal, released in 1987, was Trump’s first book. The business advice book, written with journalist Tony Schwartz, helped Trump’s popularity skyrocket.…….

President Donald Trump said Wednesday he doesn’t want to raise taxes on the rich because he fears they’d leave the country.

When a reporter asked Trump if he would “support a millionaire tax,” the president said it would be “disruptive because a lot of millionaires would leave the country” thanks to modern transportation.

“You know, the old days, they left states,” Trump said from the Oval Office. “They’d go from one state to the other. Now, with transportation so quick and so easy, they leave countries.”

He added: “You lose a lot of money if you do that. And other countries that have done it have lost a lot of people. They lose their wealthy people. That would be bad because the wealthy people pay the tax.”…….

RIGHT butt crevasse, those with all the wealth should definitely not pay their FAIR SHARE. 🤯🤬

This transcript of Trump's interview with TIME is nuts, even going into it with the expectation that it'd be nuts. It comes across as a really soft interview, and yet I still don't know how anyone can hear or read this stuff and not think the guy has absolutely lost the plot and should have been put out to pasture long ago.

the most glaring item in all that- "THEY" - he repeats that word when asked direct involvement in a particular decision- He never ever takes responsibility for any decisions that could land him in the hot seat. The reporter does waaay more than most trying to get him to answer, and he either moves the conversation or refers to "they" ( others make that call- not him )

its insane.

this is so funny, so will Trump be the first? every thing is a confession with this idiot.

President Donald Trump signed a memorandum targeting online fundraising platforms like ActBlue to crack down on illegal foreign contributions in U.S. elections, prompting an investigation led by Attorney General Pam Bondi. The memo cites fraud schemes and foreign IP donations during the 2024 election period.

Well if you want to be dumb have at it. like there is any cherished family or liberty happening with MAGA.

– A few years ago, Jeff was working for a California bank that asked him to look into getting the business listed on a website called PublicSquare.
The bank’s leaders were big supporters of Donald Trump, and PublicSquare was an ideal place to advertise it: Its website, which bills itself as “the anti-woke online marketplace,” is a hub of tens of thousands of businesses nationwide that want people to know they align with MAGA views and oppose so-called “progressive priorities” like women’s reproductive rights and diversity initiatives. In order to list your business on the website, you first have to confirm that you will “respect the core values of PublicSquare” and agree not to “support causes that are in direct conflict with our core values.”
“For far too long, American consumers and business owners who cherish family values and God-given liberty have been overlooked by mainstream businesses,” the company’s website states. “It’s time to embrace this community of customers and merchants by providing platforms, products, and services that enrich the way of life they hold dear.”

The company also acknowledges its purpose of letting people use their dollars as political and cultural leverage. “PublicSquare is on a mission to restore the culture through the power of commerce,” its website says under a section called “Purpose with every purchase.” “This isn’t about boycotts, it’s about helping you switch to something better.”

The whole world is laughing at us...
He’ll do us all a favor the sooner he joins Pope Francis. With the help of 70m Losers, he’s turned us into the single most despised Nation of Losers. I cancelled my cruise in Europe because of it. 😔

Not only did he ignore the requested dress code, he sat there sleeping during the funeral.

I don’t know how Melania can stand to be so close to him. Oh yeah it’s the smell of perspiration and $$$. 🤔

President Donald Trump made clear Sunday that he would not follow his predecessor’s practice of recognizing Indigenous Peoples Day alongside Columbus Day in October, accusing Democrats of denigrating the explorer’s legacy as he pressed his campaign to restore what he argues are traditional American icons.

Democrat Joe Biden was the first president to mark Indigenous Peoples Day, issuing a proclamation in 2021 that celebrated “the invaluable contributions and resilience of Indigenous peoples” and recognize “their inherent sovereignty.”

The proclamation noted that America “was conceived on a promise of equality and opportunity for all people” but that promise “we have never fully lived up to. That is especially true when it comes to upholding the rights and dignity of the Indigenous people who were here long before colonization of the Americas began.”

Trump on Sunday used a social media post to declare, “I’m bringing Columbus Day back from the ashes.” He said on his Truth Social site that “the Democrats did everything possible to destroy Christopher Columbus, his reputation, and all of the Italians that love him so much.”……..
