Anxiety surges as Donald Trump may be indicted soon: Why 2024 is 'the final battle' and 'the big one'

WASHINGTON – It looks like American politics is entering a new age of anxiety, triggered by an unprecedented legal development: The potential indictment of a former president and current presidential candidate.

Donald Trump's many legal problems – and calls for protests by his followers – have generated new fears of political violence and anxiety about the unknowable impact all this will have on the already-tense 2024 presidential election

I’ll reframe this is a more accurate way, Are Presidents above the law? This new age was spurred into existence when home grown dummies elected a corrupt, mentally ill, anti-democratic, would be dictator as President and don’t bother to hold him responsible for his crimes, don’t want to because in the ensuing mayhem and destruction, they think they will be better off. The man is actually advocating violence (not the first time). And btw, screw democracy too. If this feeling spreads, we are In deep shirt.

This goes beyond one treasonous Peice of work and out to all his minions. This is on you or should we be sympathetic to the idea of they can’t help being selfish suckers to the Nation’s detriment? Donald Trump is the single largest individual threat to our democracy and it‘s all going to boil down to will the majority of the GOP return to his embrace and start slinging his excrement to support him?

President Donald Trump made clear Sunday that he would not follow his predecessor’s practice of recognizing Indigenous Peoples Day alongside Columbus Day in October, accusing Democrats of denigrating the explorer’s legacy as he pressed his campaign to restore what he argues are traditional American icons.

Democrat Joe Biden was the first president to mark Indigenous Peoples Day, issuing a proclamation in 2021 that celebrated “the invaluable contributions and resilience of Indigenous peoples” and recognize “their inherent sovereignty.”

The proclamation noted that America “was conceived on a promise of equality and opportunity for all people” but that promise “we have never fully lived up to. That is especially true when it comes to upholding the rights and dignity of the Indigenous people who were here long before colonization of the Americas began.”

Trump on Sunday used a social media post to declare, “I’m bringing Columbus Day back from the ashes.” He said on his Truth Social site that “the Democrats did everything possible to destroy Christopher Columbus, his reputation, and all of the Italians that love him so much.”……..

Mutha forker never steps foot on North American soil. Gets blown by the MAGA in chief and his ilk...

This transcript of Trump's interview with TIME is nuts, even going into it with the expectation that it'd be nuts. It comes across as a really soft interview, and yet I still don't know how anyone can hear or read this stuff and not think the guy has absolutely lost the plot and should have been put out to pasture long ago.

Not only did he ignore the requested dress code, he sat there sleeping during the funeral.

I believe this is when someone of a different persuasion will chime in to say that it is indeed harris who hid biden's cognitive decline, and therefore disqualifying. With a wave of their hand, a jedi mind trick will allow us not to believe our eyes and ears.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt suggested in a briefing Monday that President Donald Trump deserves credit for Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders securing a team spot after four rounds.

When asked by Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy if the president believes he should receive credit for Sanders — son of football coach Deion Sanders — getting picked by the Cleveland Browns, Leavitt said through laughter: “All I will say is the president put out a statement and a few rounds later he was drafted. So, I think the facts speak for themselves now, Peter.”
"A few ROUNDS later"...There are only 7 rounds! Bruh, they are all clowns and their "press" pools are just carnival barkers.

When asked about Donald Trump’s Easter morning post wishing a happy holiday to “the Radical LeftLunatics … fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners” to the United States, Jackson Lahmeyer, an Oklahoma evangelical Christian pastor, said: “Isn’t it terrible that they are wanting to do that?”

Lahmeyer, the founder of the Pastors for Trump organization, was not bothered by Trump’s extreme and divisive message on the Christian religious holiday, because, he said: “You cannot unify with evil.”

Lahmeyer’s attitude appears typical of many white evangelical leaders who still strongly support Trump despite what – for many – is violent, extremist-laden language that many would see as unsuitable for any religious occasion, let alone one intimately connected to rebirth, forgiveness and peace.

But those leaders in the US say Trump – unlike some past Republican presidents – has followed through on campaign promises concerning core issues such as abortion, immigration, the location of the US embassy in Israel and, more generally, his pledge to “bring back Christianity”.

More good things could be in store for that demographic because in a second Easter post on his platform Truth Social, Trump said he would make America “more religious, than it has ever been before!!!”

“He has moved the needle for the Christian agenda unlike anyone else, especially in modern times,” said Lahmeyer, who attended an Easter dinner at the White House. “As a pastor, obviously, that is music to my ears.”………….

Trump was clearly joking about being named the Pope. But people are saying this Graham post is real.

Donald Trump has celebrated his 100th day in office with a campaign-style rally in Michigan and an attack on “communist radical left judges” for trying to seize his power, warning: “Nothing will stop me.”

The president also served up the chilling spectacle of a video of Venezuelan immigrants sent from the US to a notorious prison in El Salvador, accompanied by Hollywood-style music and roars of approval from the crowd.

Trump’s choice of Michigan was a recognition not only of how the battleground state helped propel him to victoryover Vice-President Kamala Harris in last November’s election, but its status as a potential beneficiary of a tariffs policy which, he claims, will revive US manufacturing.

But the cavernous sports and expo centre in the city of Warren, near Detroit, was only half full for the rally, and a steady stream of people left before the end of his disjointed and meandering 89-minute address.

“We’re here tonight in the heartland of our nation to celebrate the most successful first 100 days of any administration in the history of our country!” Trump declared. “In 100 days, we have delivered the most profound change in Washington in nearly 100 years.”………

So I saw a post saying that Venezuela has made an official complaint for human rights violations by El Salvador in its holding of Venezuelan citizens without due process in its concentration camp. Not sure if it’s true or not or what could possibly come from it.

I know this interview was mentioned, but I hadn’t seen this part. Trump is a very stupid man. The letters and numbers were clearly photoshopped. Clearly. They weren’t even trying to hide it.

He really believes they were tattooed on his knuckles. He probably knew they were photoshopped initially, but his brain is so cooked and he's repeated the lie so much that he's replaced the knowledge that it's photoshopped and now truly believes it was tattooed on his knuckles.

His connection to reality is so untethered that his own propaganda works on him.

It's crazy, like, he could just say, "Yeah, it's the symbols not the letters, but everyone knows what they mean, that's what the letters are showing," and that'd do the job.

I mean, it's even plausible someone added the letters originally not to pretend they're physically there but just to 'interpret' the symbols, and then other people subsequently presented it as real. If he just said "it's the symbols, and they mean MS-13," his usual crowd would suck it up and a bunch of the media would do their usual fence-sitting thing where they argue about whether the symbols mean that or not and fail to challenge the underlying premise of "using tattoos to deport people to gulags" entirely. As intended.

But he just has to tell these stupid, stupid, lies.

Sad thing is, the usual crowd and too many of the media still do exactly the wrong thing regardless.
