Anxiety surges as Donald Trump may be indicted soon: Why 2024 is 'the final battle' and 'the big one'

WASHINGTON – It looks like American politics is entering a new age of anxiety, triggered by an unprecedented legal development: The potential indictment of a former president and current presidential candidate.

Donald Trump's many legal problems – and calls for protests by his followers – have generated new fears of political violence and anxiety about the unknowable impact all this will have on the already-tense 2024 presidential election

I’ll reframe this is a more accurate way, Are Presidents above the law? This new age was spurred into existence when home grown dummies elected a corrupt, mentally ill, anti-democratic, would be dictator as President and don’t bother to hold him responsible for his crimes, don’t want to because in the ensuing mayhem and destruction, they think they will be better off. The man is actually advocating violence (not the first time). And btw, screw democracy too. If this feeling spreads, we are In deep shirt.

This goes beyond one treasonous Peice of work and out to all his minions. This is on you or should we be sympathetic to the idea of they can’t help being selfish suckers to the Nation’s detriment? Donald Trump is the single largest individual threat to our democracy and it‘s all going to boil down to will the majority of the GOP return to his embrace and start slinging his excrement to support him?

Because his presidential seal isn’t printed or a likeness. The law only addresses print or a likeness. The law doesn’t apply to the actual government created presidential seal.
The seal plaque mounted to the podium is a likeness of the presidential seal.

It is not the original presidential seal, which is a mark used specifically to mark correspondence from the president with a seal of wax.

So you contend that seal on the podium is made by the US Government?

    Or taken from WH?

Don’t be ridiculous. It is a government official presidential seal. The law is written to keep common folks from printing or manufacturing a likeness and using it for profit.

But it is ok for the president to use for his personal profit at a private function?

The president was acting in an unofficial capacity.

    You know, as “common folk.”

The rationalization of the President's use of the seal at a supposedly unofficial event is absurd. Smh.

I don’t think it’s ok. That doesn’t make it illegal. The law cited doesn’t apply to the official government produced presidential seals.

Unfortunately he’s the president 24 hours a day 7 days a week. In that capacity the officially produced presidential seals are his to use. The law on the issue is obvious. Doesn’t apply to government produced seals.

No it wasn’t. He can play golf. He can hold dinners at his country clubs. He can do pretty much what he wants in holding social gatherings.

If this was Biden you would shout to high heaven. He is literally selling access to the president. It can't both be a private dinner as he claims or an official dinner which the shield suggest. Both can't be true.
