Anxiety surges as Donald Trump may be indicted soon: Why 2024 is 'the final battle' and 'the big one'

WASHINGTON – It looks like American politics is entering a new age of anxiety, triggered by an unprecedented legal development: The potential indictment of a former president and current presidential candidate.

Donald Trump's many legal problems – and calls for protests by his followers – have generated new fears of political violence and anxiety about the unknowable impact all this will have on the already-tense 2024 presidential election

I’ll reframe this is a more accurate way, Are Presidents above the law? This new age was spurred into existence when home grown dummies elected a corrupt, mentally ill, anti-democratic, would be dictator as President and don’t bother to hold him responsible for his crimes, don’t want to because in the ensuing mayhem and destruction, they think they will be better off. The man is actually advocating violence (not the first time). And btw, screw democracy too. If this feeling spreads, we are In deep shirt.

This goes beyond one treasonous Peice of work and out to all his minions. This is on you or should we be sympathetic to the idea of they can’t help being selfish suckers to the Nation’s detriment? Donald Trump is the single largest individual threat to our democracy and it‘s all going to boil down to will the majority of the GOP return to his embrace and start slinging his excrement to support him?

So, Chuck, or anyone else, who is writing these EOs? Who is behind this crazy barrage of illegal, unconstitutional, immoral, fraudulent EOs?

I really doubt Trump is coming up with them on his own. I don’t think he ever much thinks about anything other than his own ego and his money.

They are about to do something really bad. All these EO's are a smokescreen ment to hide the real crimes

By all appearances it is those behind project 2025.

The Alcatraz thing is probably trumps idea.

I would leave Alcatraz as is. It isn’t cost effective for one thing. I would rather put more cops on the street, pay them better, improve training.

The internet found where Trump may have gotten the idea about Alcatraz. Evidently any random MAGA idiot can lob a crazy suggestion at him and he will run with it.

Imagine being busy getting another honorary doctorate & delivering the commencement address to encourage & empower the leaders of “Today,” and right before boarding your flight to depart, learning that diabolical delusional demented dumb Don was busy trying to challenge your IQ, again.

While I was literally speaking to graduates, not because I forced myself upon them (cough cough—Alabama), but because they legitimately love & respect what I have to say, he was still flunking & coming in last for the Presidential class, but instead of trying to start to pass, he’s immaturely & inaccurately attacking me.

More ‘just joking’ followed by ‘can’t take a joke’

President Donald Trump has two crypto-focused dinners on the calendar this month — one aimed at deep-pocketed political donors, the other at meme coin millionaires. Both are poised to help him rake in millions.

The first event, a $1.5 million-per-plate fundraiser set for Monday, is among the priciest political fundraisers in recent memory. The second, on May 22, offers access to Trump’s inner circle not for cash — but for holders of the $TRUMP token.

Hosted by MAGA Inc., the “Crypto & AI Innovators Dinner” on May 5 features special guest David Sacks — who has been helping to rewrite the country’s crypto and artificial intelligence rules.

The committee receiving the funds, MAGA Inc., is a super PAC that supports Trump. But given that the president is constitutionally barred from running for a third term, it’s unclear how the PAC plans to spend the millions of dollars it is raising this spring at a series of dinners.

The crypto community has cheered Sacks’ growing influence in Washington, crediting him and other Trump-aligned appointees with a sweeping policy shift that’s already delivered a spate of regulatory wins across multiple federal agencies — in what many industry executives are describing as a 180 pivot from President Joe Biden.

The second gala dinner will be held later this month at Trump National, the president’s private club in the Washington, D.C., area. The guest list will be decided by a blockchain-based contest run by the creators of the $TRUMP meme token. Instead of cash, entry is based on how many tokens a user holds, with the top 220 promised dinner with Trump himself. The contest runs through May 12…….

I just want to say for the record that I want to marry Jasmine Crockett.

He mentioned Hillary nonstop during his first term

At least Biden was actually president

And after the dumpster fire of a clusterfork of Trump’s first term Biden only mentioned him 29 times

I'm sure a psychiatrist might have something to say about that

====================================================================
While Donald Trump has repeatedly said “tariff” is the “most beautiful word in the dictionary,” there is another noun that has become just as prominent in the president’s vernacular.

Since his inauguration on January 20, Trump has mentioned former President Joe Biden, his family or administration at least 580 times in public remarks or on social media, according to an analysis by NBC News.

That is an average of more than six times a day, every day, since he commenced his second term. More than 90 days after leaving office, Biden appears to have left his mark on Trump’s subconscious.

At his inauguration alone, Trump mentioned Biden a dozen times, nearing half of the 29 references the Democrat made about his GOP foe in his first 100 days in office in 2021.…..

President Donald Trump has appointed a Real Housewives of New Jersey star to serve on the board of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

Sigalit Flicker, 57, was appointed by Trump on Monday along with four other new members to replace President Joe Biden’s picks who were axed last month, marking the first time a sitting president has eliminated board appointees ahead of their term’s completion.

Doug Emhoff, former Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband, was one of the booted council members. Trump made eight other appointments last week.

Flicker, an Israeli-American matchmaker, podcaster and television personality, previously starred in the seventh and eighth seasons of the Bravo TV show and also appeared in the VH1 series Why Am I Still Single?!

Her stepson, Tyler Campanella, was arrested in April 2024 and charged with five misdemeanors for his alleged role in the January 6, 2021 U.S. Capitol attack.

FBI referenced one of Flicker’s Instagram posts in an indictment against her stepson in which she wrote: “I love patriots so much. Stay safe Tyler. We love you.” She added #StopTheSteal at the end of the post. The photo was of Campanella inside the Capitol.………

CNN —
When President Donald Trump descends on the Kennedy Performing Arts Center next month for a high-dollar fundraiser and a performance of “Les Misérables,” he won’t be seeing the usual cast performing, sources told CNN.

At least 10 to 12 performers in Les Mis are planning to sit out the show on June 11, the night that Trump attends at the Kennedy Center, the sources said. The cast was given the option to not perform the night Trump will be in the audience, and both major cast members and members of the ensemble are among those sitting out, according to the sources.

The move highlights friction between the Trump administration and members within the center as the president has made an aggressive push to reshape it, thrusting the Washington, DC-based performing arts complex into the middle of culture wars.

The boycott follows Trump’s decision to effectively take control of the Kennedy Center as part of a widespread effort his administration has undertaken to bend American institutions – including cultural, legal and educational pillars – to the president’s will.

Less than a month into his presidency, Trump installed himself as chairman of the Kennedy Center thanks to a newly constituted board, including several new Trump appointees who replaced trustees appointed by Democratic presidents. He also named Richard Grenell, a longtime confidant already serving in multiple administration positions, to the director role earlier this year.

The same night that Trump will attend the performance of Les Mis, he will also hold a fundraiser to benefit the Kennedy Center. The fundraiser was first reported by ABC News.

“We are definitely using the Les Mis opening as an opportunity” to shore up the center’s finances, one person familiar with the plans told CNN.

During his 2016 campaign, Trump used music from Les Mis during his campaign rallies, which the co-creators of the musical objected to, according to the Guardian.

In a statement to CNN, Grennell, who identified himself as president of the Kennedy Center, said he was unaware that some cast members planned to boycott the performance on the night of Trump’s appearance and that the Kennedy Center will “no longer fund intolerance.”

“Any performer who isn’t professional enough to perform for patrons of all backgrounds, regardless of political affiliation, won’t be welcomed,” said Grennell. “In fact, we think it would be important to out those vapid and intolerant artists to ensure producers know who they shouldn’t hire - and that the public knows which shows have political litmus tests to sit in the audience. The Kennedy Center wants to be a place where people of all political stripes sit next to each other and never ask who someone voted for but instead enjoys a performance together.”............

Another totally qualified and useful pic.

Rebecca Davis bought President Donald Trump’s meme coin while lying in bed one January morning in Little Rock, scrolling through photos of a glitzy Trump inauguration gala called the “Crypto Ball.” The host of a local conservative radio show, she knew nothing about cryptocurrency but believed in Trump’s business savvy. He “kind of knows how to make money,” she said.

Her $TRUMP coin’s value climbed for a few days but has since plunged 85 percent from its peak. Though some coin holders, including Trump’s allies, have profited handsomely on paper from the coin, she is not one of them; her $32 investment is now worth about $11.

“There was definitely a lot of influential people that had posted online about it that got me hyped up,” she said. “Then when it tanked, I was like, ‘Whoa, what the hell?’”

At least 67,000 new or small-time crypto investors like Davis have bet on Trump’s meme coin, pouring $15 million into the volatile venture endorsed by Trump and benefiting his personal wealth, a Washington Post analysis found.

But virtually all of them bought near the coin’s peak, just before the inauguration, and 80 percent of them have seen the value of their holdings nosedive, The Post’s analysis shows. One buyer who spent $10,000 has already lost, on paper, more than $8,000.

The losses point to the risks for Trump supporters and crypto speculators eager to bet on the loosely regulated venture of the self-described “first crypto president.” But they also draw a stark contrast with the president’s team, which has made millions in trading fees from transactions for the meme coin, even when its value goes down.

Small-time Trump coin buyers have seen their investments collapse
