This is going to need a thread as we move forward - there are now clear signs that Trump supports a new, critical if not dubious approach on vaccination, and his HHS nominee RFK Jr. regularly espouses eating raw milk and raw meat . . . dietary components most experts agree are more dangerous than their heated counterparts.

Health is certainly one of those areas were anti-institutionalism and turning to popular influencers over medical science comes with genuine risk of harm.

Today Trump provided his most clear indication that he is a vaccine skeptic - claiming (falsely of course) that the USA doesn't "do as well" as other nations that use no vaccines at all.

The National Institutes of Health will cancel or cut back dozens of grants for research on why some people are reluctant to be vaccinated and how to increase acceptance of vaccines, according to an internal email obtained by The Washington Post on Monday.

The email, titled “required terminations — 3/10/25,” shows that on Monday morning, the agency “received a new list … of awards that need to be terminated, today. It has been determined they do not align with NIH funding priorities related to vaccine hesitancy and/or uptake.”

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the new secretary of NIH’s parent agency, the Department of Health and Human Services, has disparaged vaccines for years. He gained national notoriety over the past two decades by promoting misinformation about vaccines and a conjectured link to autism, drawing widespread condemnation from the scientific community.……..

To me this indicates that every single American voter who voted for Donald J Trump is part of a massive cult, bc they enabled this type of insanity .. Every single one .

If your six year old child’s easily preventable death doesn’t cause you to reevaluate some things you are truly lost

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., says that vaccinating the nation’s poultry flocks against pervasive H5N1 bird flucould turn them into “mutation factories.”

“All of my agencies advise against vaccination of birds, because if you vaccinate with a leaky vaccine, in other words a vaccine that does not provide sterilizing immunity, that does not absolutely protect against the disease, you turn those flocks into mutation factories,” he told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “They’re teaching the organism how to mutate.”

But, vaccines could be key to the administration’s response going forward — at least, according to the Department of Agriculture. H5N1 bird flu infections have resulted in the deaths of more than 166 million poultry, and one Louisiana resident. Pathways toward vaccine production were a part of its billion-dollar strategy to get both infections and egg prices down. The administration is investing $100 million into vaccine research, specifically.

The department issued a conditional license for a vaccine for use in chickens in February. Vaccines for cows are also under development, according to the American Society for Microbiology.…….

You know what else leads to mutations? Letting the virus run rampant. He just hates vaccines, and says anything he can think of to discredit them. He’s such a Peice of work.
