    I looked up the H1N1 so-called Spanish flu epidemic. A big part of the cause of death was pneumonia which hit after the body had been weakened by the flu. And it hit young adults very hard. There was also anti-masking idiots then too.

    Here is the death toll from Covid roughly 2,000,000 that times by eight to to prove my point that means 16 million. You want to do the math or should I. Covid was nothing it didn’t hurt our species by and large at all. 0.15% human loss that is nothing compared to species that we have been putting to an end for decades on this planet.

Thirty-one countries total had rates of >300 per 100,000 with Bolivia suffering the worst (est. 735 deaths per 100,000). Meanwhile, some countries had negative excess mortality: Iceland, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, and Taiwan. Cumulative excess deaths topped 1 million for 3 countries: India (4.07 million), US (1.13 million), and Russia (1.07 million).     not what I am talking about I am talking about How Americans and mostly Republicans treated the pandemic. we lost about 1 million people and 3.5 times more Republicans died from covid than Democrats. Trump touted how great the vaccine was and once he lost he just did nothing to promote it because it would have benefited Biden. so let Americans die if it helps Biden. What will it look like if Mr brain Worm promotes horse paste or cactus enemas or drinking pee or whatever pops into that worm-addled brain of his?

    It's a small step in stopping his overall goal of allowing corporations free reign over this state, and make no mistake, no matter how he tries to frame amendment 2, its true purpose was to shift the tax burden to the citizens and subsidize corporations.

    Louisiana residents overwhelmingly rejected all four amendments on the ballot.

    Gov. Jeff Landry issued the following statement regarding the failed amendments:

    "Amendment 2 was a chance to permanently lower the maximum state income tax rate, double the tax deductions for residents over the age of 65, create a government growth limit, provide a permanent pay raise for teachers and school staff, maintain the homestead exemption and protect religious organizations, keep more tax dollars in local communities, allow for the elimination of inventory tax, and protect against special interest tax breaks.

    “The primary goal of Amendment 2 was to create a better opportunity for our citizens. To work towards inviting people into our State rather than have them leave. Unfortunately, Soros and far left liberals poured millions into Louisiana with propaganda and outright lies about Amendment 2,” said Governor Landry. “Although we are disappointed in tonight’s results, we do not see this as a failure. We realize how hard positive change can be to implement in a State that is conditioned for failure. We will continue working to give our citizens more opportunities to keep more of their hard-earned money and provide a better future for Louisianians. This is not the end for us, and we will continue to fight to make the generational changes for Louisiana to succeed.”

    Unfortunately, your predictions were spot on—just look at the current measles outbreak. The same disregard for science and public health that led to unnecessary COVID deaths is now fueling the resurgence of preventable diseases. If people were willing to reject a life-saving vaccine for political reasons, there's no telling what absurd 'cures' they’ll embrace next.

    Idiot was literally threatening teachers to vote for Amendment 2. And he now says the state is conditioned for failure.

    This wasn't just a failure for Landry though. Two-thirds of voters told him and his cronies to take several seats.

    What's better? The electorate showed up. They were expecting only 12% of voters to show up to the polls. While still small, almost double showed up (21%).

    Speaking on the turnout, I believe local media is at fault for this because they all are pretty silent during the run-up to these types of elections. If you are not paying close attention, the GOP likes to sneak these sort of thing past the voters. I believe our local news organizations have an obligation to make these elections the lead and closing story, right up to election day.
