She spent yesterday on the telephone for most of the day. I read that yesterday that she called the party leaders in all 50 states. That would take me three days.

So there has been a bit of a mix-up. Local officials (police?) decided to stop people from entering and send away around 4,000 people who were waiting in the heat to get in. There were around 12,000 people in the arena before they closed the doors. They said it was too hot for the people to wait outside (?). Wouldn’t they be fine once they got in? I’m not sure that makes a lot of sense.

Okay, so some people passed out waiting in line, so the decision was made by local authorities to close the doors. Walz just said so from the stage. He also said, don’t worry - we will be back - a lot!

I think their plan is to do all the close states and possibly states where they think Republicans or Democrats might be vulnerable before the convention. I think they will go to all of those states again in September and again in October, while sprinkling in rallies in all of the other states. Harris and Walz have the energy, time and money to have at least one rally in every state and three rallies in all of the closely contested states. They have over a year of campaigning to cram into 3 months and I think that might be turnout to be a big advantage for them.

And this was the first response to the story about a family in Ohio who decided to vote for Harris because of IVF due to their daughter going through treatments right now. They don’t get it and I don’t suppose they ever will, if that is even a real person and not a foreign bot.

When Trump and his minions say "there is no coexisting," they absolutely mean it and they absolutely plan on destructively ending any and all coexistence. If Trump wins, they will try to commit mass forced labor/slavery and mass murder. Hopefully, they wouldn't succeed, but it's their plan and they will try like hell to execute it.

I'm not getting carried away. I'm paying attention to what they are saying and how mass forced labor and murder has unfolded through history.

They are promising to immediately round up and detain millions of people allegedly to "deport" them. Think about what it would take to logistically detain and depart millions of people. The people backing Trump are deadly serious about rounding up millions of people. They have been meeting with local law enforcement throughout the country to discuss how they will do it.

Believe people when they tell you who they are and what they will do. The people that commit mass slavery and murder always tell everyone they plan on doing it. They always play it off as detaining the dangerous and criminal. The only times they are successful is when people think, "I know they're dangerous, but don't get carried away."

The best and most effective tool we have to stop them is voting. If Trump wins, no one's AR or any other personal weapon will protect them for very long if they are a target of Trump's fascist government.

Sadly, I think that train has left the station. When Cheato's thugs were rounding Portlanders up in unmarked vans, the "2nd Amendment types" didn't take up arms to stop tyranny, they cheered it on.

I am seeing talk online about this supposed “hack” of Trump campaign materials. As I understand it, most of the material released is about Vance, including some stuff they unearthed about national security, maybe. The thought is that it will provide a reason for the campaign to jettison Vance and replace him.

He continues to perform poorly - at least I read he is doing an interview on CNN this morning that is going very badly.

Anyway, just passing along scuttlebutt from the web.

Edit to add: people are talking note that the “hacker” sent the materials to publications from an AOL email account, and speculating it may be Trump himself, which made me chuckle.

According to the NYT, the Trump campaign has internal polling showing Trump receiving less than 50% of the vote in OH.

“Others are more concerned about what they are seeing in private polling.
