The election is just a few months away. The Pandemic has made this kind of quiet, but I have seen plenty of TV commercials, especially from Trump.

It's early, and polling can change, but I think the pandemic, economy having issues due to the pandemic, on top of the multiple issues many folks have with Trump are taking their toll. But, the pandemic is likely crushing his reelection chances... but we shall see.

What surprised me is that some states are looking a lot closer, or are flipping that I wasn't expecting.

    Georgia....

Iowa?? it's a tie now, but Trump was up in that state.

That's looking like a map like this...

So not that I expect Trump to lose in Louisiana, but primary numbers had 50K more Democrat votes than Republican ones, with Biden having 15K more votes total. Just an interesting tidbit.

One thing to keep in mind though. Many "Democrats" here are Dixiecrat types. Their minds and dads were Democrats so they are too and are waiting for the Dixiecrats to rise again.

But Louisiana law and LDP rules say they can only vote in the Democratic primary. I think independents are allowed to as well.

I don't really trust polls anymore. Last time around there were a lot of people not willing to admit they were voting for trump, and then voted for him. On the other hand you can kind of predict how some states will lean, since red states are gonna vote (R) regardless of whether he is a vile, loathsome person or not
