It looks like the first shoe has dropped with the Durham investigation with the Clinesmith plea deal. Clinesmith wasn't a low level FBI employee involved in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.

He worked with Strzok to arrange sending an FBI agent into Trump-Flynn briefing, was on the Mueller team, he took part in the Papadopoulos interviews, and he participated in the FISA process.

I'd like to see a constitutional amendment and an addition to the oath of office that says that every federally elected official is under oath anytime they are speaking in an official capacity with clear and definitive language that points out that it specifically includes anything they say to or on any media outlet of any kind, including social media, and anything they say at any type of campaign or fundraising event.

If they are legally allowed to lie at will except for when under oath, we are going to lose our democracy. Clearly we can not rely on them to be honest on their own, so we need to constitutionally force it on them.

So, there was absolutely no illegal spying on Trump. I know you like to throw up your hands and say “Both Sides” but that is not true nor helpful. Only one party is being ridiculous here, only one party has gone so extreme that they are supporting George Santos and censuring Adam Schiff.

I lived through the Nixon years, and I thought they were pretty bad. But there were conservatives with integrity and a spine who went to the WH and told him that he could either resign or they would impeach him. Now? There’s nobody left in the GOP that doesn’t dance to Trump‘s tune. And he’s done so much worse than Nixon ever did.

The one thing that has shocked me is that the GOP cannot find anyone who will stand up to Trump.

In my opinion, that's just more inaccurate "whataboutism" and "both sides" BS. There are plenty of people in DC that can be basically taken at their word.

They all have human flaws like all of us, so the standard your using says that none of us should be taken at our word ever.

The thing about "whatboutism" and "both sides" is that it's mostly done in defense of what Republicans have done. When a Democrat does something wrong, you don't see nearly as many people rushing to the defense with "whatabout" or 'both sides."

It happens a lot more in defense of Republicans than Democrats. A big part of that is because Republicans are doing the vast majority of the most dangerous stuff that's going on.

Even if Schiff exaggerated the information he had about Trump to make it sound much more certain that Trump was actively working with Russians...

The absolute absurdity of a group of individuals censuring him for doing so while they are also literally accusing the sitting president of committing crimes with no evidence to support it defies description.

Yeah, what I meant was that the party was so quick to roll over for Trump and he was so quick to ostracize anyone who stood up to him, that the vast majority have just gone along with all of his crap. Chris Christie didn’t turn on him until this year, so I don’t give him full credit. I am grateful that he finally wised up though. Even Liz Cheney was a bit late to turn on him, although she has shown more courage and honor than most.

But the Rs have never stood united in opposition to him, no matter how bad things got. There were leaders like Goldwater who rallied the party and stood up to Nixon. We have nobody like that today.

I've seen numerous comments not so friendly to Trump over the years from Christie. That's hardly new. Cheney has never been friendly to Trump that I can recall. Romney has long criticized him. Hogan has as well. There were Republicans opposing Trump in 2016 and 2020. Sure, not as many as now, but they've always been there. I know that because I opposed Trump from the day he came down that escalator. And I've paid some attention to those who are opposed to Trump over the years.

The main issue the GOP leadership has long been beholden to Trump, and that's his calling card. He figures as long as he has the RNC in his back pocket, he's pretty much bulletproof politically.

If you mean currently in the Congress, then yes, no Republican is standing up to Trump. However, Kinzinger and Cheney both stood up against Trump knowing that it would cost them.

Where is the lie? Is it uncouth to point out facts? Does one have to take a side to point out both sides to shaddy shirt, or that both sides have people that play well with others?

I see no problem in ancknowl that there are some Republicans that will go down to their graves supporting Trump, or that there are some Republicans that pushed back against Trump.

I also see no problem with calling out Democrats who haven’t been back to the kids in cages since Biden was elected, or those who doing it right and not acting on insider information, and making a dollar the honest way.

Not everybody in DC is trash, but you really have to search for those who put country over party.

Total and utter BS....there is only one party that has lost it's sanity, to say otherwise is to legitimize them.....this both sides BS is garbage.....the D party is far from perfect....but they are at least "sane"......
