Seems like there are already problems with a rapper in the area named RAZ declaring himself the leader of sorts, and they are forcing businesses in the zone to give up their Seattle city affiliation. Sounds like freedom to me..

I’m not concerned about it. It is a local issue. Nothing I believe depends upon it’s success or failure.

Smead said that although taxes in Seattle are lower, candidate recruitment is harder and the cost of living within the city is more expensive than Phoenix.

He found that metro Phoenix offers a better quality of life.

“My colleagues can pick the socio-economic rung of life that they want … live their lives, build
their households and have a family if they’d like,” Smead said.

And they manage 1.5 billion in funds. It’s not a billion dollar company so I don’t know what the economic footprint for the city would actually be or how indicative of a larger movement this will be.

Covid is a much bigger problem for businesses and the economy than Black lives matter.

I wish they would say "Save the economy, wear a mask". Maybe more people would listen then.
