Living where I live, if I set off fireworks they would haul me off to prison assuming I wasn't killed in the hellacious firestorm that would cause.

Same here in Los Angeles if you get caught. I'm on the foothills to the north slope of the Hollywood Hills, so if I aim to the south, a firestorm would be sure to follow. Fortunately, my fireworks are those fancy metaphorical kind.
