    They left the most obvious assassination point in the world completely unsecured.

    At what point does "incompetence" stop being the explanation for why Trump was nearly killed.

    The first statement from Secret Service said it was a shard of glass that injured Trump. They later amended it later to just not mention what hit his ear. The Secret Service said several agents sustained wounds from flying pieces of glass and metal during the shooting.

    Sam said he saw a photo with a hole in his ear, the only photos I have seen show an intact ear. I would love to see the photo Sam saw. I did see a photo in the immediate aftermath with what looks like a foreign object stuck in the outer portion of his ear. I also saw one photo highlighting a teleprompter that looked like it had a damaged corner - a triangle shaped bit of damage that looked like some of it was gone.

    Trump hasn’t released any of his treatment info, we got no doctor statements - the hospital where he was treated refers inquiries to the campaign, this tells me Trump has not released them to give any statements. Why not allow doctors who treated him to comment on the extent of his injuries and what treatment was provided?

    It’s not a conspiracy - it’s just what Trump does. He bends reality to suit his narrative and everybody just goes along with it. He knows the idea that his ear got grazed by a bullet is much better for his image than if he got grazed by glass, so he is just making it so and daring anyone to call him out on it.

    Kind of like his assertion that he had the most people at his inauguration. Or his “doctor’s” statement that he is 6’3” and 235 or whatever fake number they gave out, I forget.

    The SS were German Nazis, the enforcers, the worst of them. I avoid using SS because it is easier for me to type, and instead try to spell it out so that connotation doesn't carry over.

    They're the Secret Service. Thirteen letters to type instead of two, but worth it to avoid that bit of confusion.

As an American who is now part of a significant event in American history I would speak to the president calling to offer condolences on behalf of the nation.     I still wear a mask when I go into stores and clinics.

    I wish I had known about masks sooner in life. The women in the stores and clinics flirt with me a whole lot more when I wear a mask.

    The wound is consistent with a bullet down to a personally observed fact that I saw the hole in his ear in another photo. A hole in his ear which is almost exactly the diameter of those bullets.

    0.225 inches in diameter to be exact.

    If that photo showing the bullet is enlarged enough on the screen it's there. That was the first thing I did when I saw that photo and didn't see the bullet they were talking about. A small sized photo doesn't show detail an enlarged photo will.

    Indeed, I don't get it. It was an assassination attempt either way. It just does not matter. And I'm a certified Trump hater. If he embellishes what happened, so what? We already know that's who he is.

    There's simply no way anyone should be downplaying the significance of this event.

    That's why I usually use USSS. Lol. Sometimes I get lazy and forget.
