It isn't stated enough that Trump's minimizing and encouragement to not get vaccinated led to hundreds of thousands of American deaths. He completed undermined the good his administration did in getting the vaccines developed. I think his anti-vax advocacy was criminal, and suggesting hiring JFK means he plans to double down on that criminality.

Mills made it *very* clear that he was simply examining all options for what may have happened.

Let me say that again: Mills made it very clear that he was not asserting the incident was a setup but said it should be considered during an investigation.

Being a sniper in a warzone in Iraq is not the same thing as a SS sniper or security detail in our country. I doubt he knows much about what actually goes into a protection detail in a non-warzone US city. He may be drawing on his experience to try and analyze what happened, but his experience may not be very relevant to the actual specifics of this assassination attempt.

There was a serious breakdown in the protection, but injecting conspiracy when there is no indication of it only muddies the water. Let's just figure out what happened, if any actual factual information (not just conjecture) leads to a conspiracy of some sort being plausible, then we can consider it then.

You have to consider everything when and investigation starts (especially this one) and I'm sure they are. There isn't any reason to elevate that particular part of it when there is no factual information pointing to it.

Also, when speaking of a conspiracy, it's always the federal government/deep state/Democrats behind it. There are plenty of conspiracies that could possibly take place that don't involve the federal government or Democrats.

i 100% believe is was a massive failure by all parties involved. Local police, secret Service, Trumps private security and the Rally organizers .i think laziness and complacency played a massive role on why this happened.. we are just lucky the guy wasn't a good shot..

I haven't seen a timeline of events, but drawing from the information out there....the biggest, most glaring gaffe has to be leaving former President Trump on stage after a credible threat was discovered. It seems as though security in some form realized a real threat was out there, but it never got back to his Secret Service detail on the podium. They guy should have been tackled before the shot rang out.

I don't think for a second it was "an inside job" or "deep state", but the level of fork up by the overall security detail on site was abysmal for the year 2024.

When was this rally announced? Trump has been doing a lot of last minute rallies - how would this “conspiracy” have had the time to come together?

Big agree here. Secret Service should have taken Trump off the stage as soon as reports of a suspicious person came in. I would be interested in seeing how this all came about.
