I was looking for a place to put this so we could discuss but didn't really find a place that worked so I created this thread so we can all place articles, experiences, videos and examples of racism in the USA.

This is one that happened this week. The lady even called and filed a complaint on the officer. This officer also chose to wear the body cam (apparently, LA doesn't require this yet). This exchange wasn't necessarily racist IMO until she started with the "mexican racist...you will never be white, like you want" garbage. That is when it turned racist IMO

All the murderer and other insults, I think are just a by product of CRT and ACAB rhetoric that is very common on the radical left and sadly is being brought to mainstream in this country.

Another point that I think is worth mentioning is she is a teacher and the sense of entitlement she feels is mind blowing.

I find it amazing that when some people are inconvenienced in the slightest way the hate just spills out

And when this guy is outed I'm sure the defense of "I'm not a racist" will be forthcoming

........In a phone call with the Daily Dot, Turfe said that his carwash was closed down because of the snowstorm, and he hired a company to plow the lot. The company's protocols required that the lot be completely empty in order to be plowed, so he coned it off.

The man apparently snuck through the cones to try to use the vacuum, which was turned off for the day. "I approached the vehicle and I'm like, 'Excuse me sir, it's closed down and snowing. I've got a company coming to plow the lot and I need you to move this vehicle,'" Turfe said.

According to Turfe, the man started cursing at him and refused to move his car. Then he started calling Turfe racial slurs.

"He got out of his car to get close to me and I didn't know if he had a weapon so that's when I pulled out my phone," Turfe said..........

I bet the guys car was nicer than the car wash owner can afford, and it pissed him off.

Actually you haven't bet anything, and we can all see who was pissed, it was the fragile perpetually aggrieved white guy who thinks he owns america and controls who is here.

Just wanted to post this video again and very interesting article
    ===========================================

I recently had dinner with a white friend. He mentioned having completed the Me and White Supremacy workbook—Layla F. Saad’s extraordinary set of exercises for people who hold white privilege and want to interrogate its role in their lives.

“How was it?” I asked, sipping my wine. “Exhausting,” he proclaimed. And it is exhausting, the slow, painstaking, write-it-down process of examining how racial hierarchy shows up in one’s conscious and unconscious beliefs, in one’s desires, fears, friendships, and communities.

The upshot was that he was doing “the work.” I was happy and, being a person of color, relieved. I also immediately wondered whether he’d insisted that the white members of his social circle—friends, spouse, parents, siblings—do the work, too. But I didn’t ask. I was afraid to learn that he hadn’t.

I know a lot of white people. A lifetime of private schools, three years at an elite law school, a job in academia, a house in the suburbs, my own family—I’m surrounded. The vast majority of them are progressive and, as of the last couple years, eager to be allies. They were sickened by George Floyd’s murder.

They posted photographs of Breonna Taylor’s gentle, sweet face. They set up recurring donations. They bought books, and they bought them from Black-owned bookstores, and then they read them with pens in their hands. Books like Me and White Supremacy, So You Want to Talk About Race, White Fragility, and The New Jim Crow. They were hellbent on personal transformation, on becoming not merely not racist but anti-racist, not only benign but of benefit.

And God bless them for it. I applaud them (silently), and I don’t take their willingness for granted. But, very often, these white people and their efforts disappoint me. They frustrate me. They make me sad.

They disappoint and frustrate and sadden me because their work—as earnest and crucial as it is—frequently fails to demand the participation of the white people with whom they have the tightest, most honest, most intimate relationships.

Their husbands, their parents, their wives, their children, their best friends. The people with whom they have the most currency, the most likelihood of creating a long-term trajectory of change.

The people who are most exposed and connected to their (racialized) desires and fears, their conscious and unconscious beliefs, their choices and preferences—the heartwood of the very racial hierarchy they say they want to address.

Time and again, I’ve observed white people approach “the work” with heartfelt intensity—but no clear, persistent will to spread it to the most significant white people in their lives.............

It's a figure of speech, as you well know, and I'm pretty sure he mixed up the two in his comment based on his posting history. No need to be so aggressive with everyone on here in your first few days of being a member.

Really? I hear Farb here who gave you a thumbs up for this post is an aggressor who delights in pissing folk off. Should I assume that's based upon his posting history? Or is that just what comes with seniority here?

Everyone's public posting history is easy to find and should give you a pretty clear indication of who believes what. This has nothing to do with seniority and everything to do with not being needlessly antagonistic.

Seniority? What does that even mean? If you can't look at the posts I've made on this board and compare them to the posts of @Farb and see the difference, well, wow.

Was just saying chill out. It would be nice if people could manage to have an account last for over a month before they go off the deep end and get banned, ya know?

I'll think about being more sensitive to your needs? But I'm not bothering with scrolling through what everyone has posted before I "joined". We can all take it from here or you can see what you all can do about getting me tossed.

Now, what exactly perturbed you so? Can we get at that specifically?

You seem to think I care enough to "get you tossed" or get perturbed. I don't. I was just trying to diplomatically point out that you're behaving like an butt crevasse, but it seems the diplomacy didn't work. You're being an butt crevasse.

You care enough to do this do you not?

Wow, I was just reading this drama in reverse order and was shocked by the beginning.

His post didn’t hurt my feelings.

And I’m not an aggrieved white guy, I promise you that.

I blame Farb for liking the post.

You are the one who brought up how long I'd been on your little site here.

Because I want you to manage to stay. Butting heads with everyone on every argument is bad form and we've seen many people who can't control themselves shown the door. But do you. It has nothing to do with seniority. That's just stupid.

He was just pointing out that your perception of what someone is intending to say may be inaccurate because you aren't aware of their posting history. It's easy to get caught up in the heat of argument and be unnecessarily confrontational because of a misunderstanding.

Odd. What gets called out for abusive language here.

That's why you can all post in reply.

Yea, I was just going to let it go. I figured you’d saw me complain about the drama over Joe Rogan and had me pegged as a proud boy sympathizer, and rather than get bogged down arguing about it, I’d just let it work itself out over time.

By the time I checked the thread again, it had gotten bogged down with drama.

You really expect all of the members of the site to clarify where they stand politically for you in a reply rather than you just perusing the board and knowing where everyone stands in just a few minutes from reading - and paying attention to who said what - the plethora of posts on full display for you to read?

    Pretty self-centered, IMO.
