Debate night.

What are you looking to see/hear?

Do you think we will get any new substance?

Will Warren keep building on her polling gains? Is Biden going to rebound or falter?

Personally, I'm not overly excited about CNN running another debate. I think they will focus on gotchas, sound bytes, and shiny objects. I'd like some substance out of this one, but that's probably asking for a lot.

Honestly I'm not sure. This seems like the 326425 debate CNN has had this month. I'd like to hear more from Yang and Tulsi but I won't get my hopes up.

Honestly no.

Warren will gain some imo. Biden................well let's be honest at some point Biden is going to Biden

With you on this I almost wish MSNBC or ABC was doing this one. Even though this is a debate CNN has been running townhalls an specific "debates" for the past 6 weeks it seems. I'm over them.

Sigh, I picked a hell of a time to quit drinking.

I’m curious to see what Bernie does. I’m also curious if anyone brings up his health.
I want to SEE more of tulsi as well. Just saying. Her and mayor Pete should do a photo shoot.

I'm unable to watch. Was hoping we'd get more chatter about the debate, live. Like a play by play.

Warren out to prove she can outspend all the rest.
I don't trust either party when it comes to spending. It's become a misnomer that republicans are for small government or less spending. The days of Reagan Republicans are gone.

I don't think it matters what Spartacus is asked, he is going to change the topic so that he can explain why he is morally superior for thinking of something else.

Everytime Spartacus was asked a question he preached about how they should be talking about something else and then went on to answer a question that was not asked.

It was pretty funny after his tendency to dodge questions was highlighted by SNL.

I don't think he was necessarily trying to avoid a subject. Instead, it came across as him wanting to breathlessly virtue signal and that was his method.

Corey Booker. You may recall that he declared he was having his Spartacus moment during the Kav hearing.
No, I didn't recall that. And I think silly nicknames don't help with serious discussion.

I don't mind people re-framing a question, so long as it is due to the question being sort of a suckers choice and not the issue at hand. But, I do prefer direct answers, then explain why it's not the best way to look at it. But, sadly, direct answers have rarely favored politicians.

He wasn't reframing the questions. He was saying -instead of spending time on this subject, we should be talking about (an entirely different topic).

Heard some snippets this morning. They all seem to show Mayor Pete in a favorable light. I think Beto lost a lot of ground.

Booker had some really good comments on one of the morning shows about women’s health issues. Could have either been CNN or MSNBC as I was flipping back and forth in the car.

It's just my opinion and I doubt anyone else in the country will share my opinion, but I liked Pete until last night. I understand he's in political survival mode, but I thought he was being a passive aggressive jerk all night.

Like the gun control moment with Beto. I don't see how anything Beto said could be interpreted as Beto trying to "teach a lesson in courage" to Pete. It seems like a prepared statement that Pete was waiting to unload on someone. It seemed really forced and pretentious to me.

He also spent a lot more time telling other people that their plans wouldn't work, than he did explaining the details of his plans and why they would work. After last night, I see him as more calculating and conniving, than I see him as thoughtful. I really hope he doesn't get the nomination, because I do not want to vote for him.
