I disagree. That photo will go down as one of the most iconic political photos of all time. That's why the media is trying to find ways not to use it and it was why the NYT cropped out the flag for its front page story the day after the shooting.
If embarrassing moments and lies don’t do it for you, then boy do I have some candidates to sell you on. Do you like ear worms and conspiracies? What about embarrassing moments and deflated balloons?Iconic doesn’t equal votes.
And Trump’s embarrassing moments and lies outweigh that photo.
I’m here for it. I won’t vote for him, but I do enjoy life imitating art.

They do have a photo, it was a bullet, and I've thought so all along.I
I'll just point out, without taking a side on what happened, that the Snopes article lists Trump's statement that he was hit by a bullet as evidence. Because, of course, he would not lie. They also claim that we have a photo of a bullet striking Trump, but we don't.
It’s less to do with the photo covering up Trump’s many gaffs and lies (to undecided voters), and more to do with nothing presented by any candidate inspiring undecided voters. Is he wrong though? The assassination attempt didn't change your mind. You're not voting for Trump.
If it won't change your mind and you already have a heavy disdain for Biden, which voters will it have an impact on?
Because it’s 2024 and this is what we do.They do have a photo, it was a bullet, and I've thought so all along.
The wound is consistent with a bullet down to a personally observed fact that I saw the hole in his ear in another photo. A hole in his ear which is almost exactly the diameter of those bullets.
0.225 inches in diameter to be exact.
If that photo showing the bullet is enlarged enough on the screen it's there. That was the first thing I did when I saw that photo and didn't see the bullet they were talking about. A small sized photo doesn't show detail an enlarged photo will.
Why quibble over this???
at 150 yards, if he is running 5.56, the shooter could expect a half an inch drop, so yes, an out of the box AR running match grade 5.56 ammo, 150 yards is a very easy shot especially with sighted in optics (the terms 'optics' covers scopes, red dots, reflex ect..) The shooter was not a terrible shot from what I saw. He was extremely close on multiple shots and if DJT didn't move his head a split second before, he might have been hit twice.Farb, you're saying "effective range" and I agree, it would be in the effective range. Even 400 to 500 yards would be in the effective range.
I said 'accurate range.' Accurate range involves a nickel. One has to plug a nickel to prove accuracy.
A nickel is a large target, why it's 0.832, that's more than three times the diameter of a 0.224 bullet. It's also very shiny, so one can see it at distance.
Nickels are great targets, been being used for that since they quit using pennies for that.
Did you ever hear someone say the phrase "plugged nickel," expressing worthlessness. After a marksman has used a nickel as a target, it's worthless. They have a hole in them.
I've used pennies as well. They're harder to see at a distance, and they're smaller.
When did folk start describing scopes, as optics?
Scopes are optics, and I use them, but I still call them scopes.
They don't affect the accuracy either way, but they do improve ones distance eyesight. That can help one achieve accuracy. It sure helps me.
I'm so old now I don't target shoot anymore. I suppose I still could, but I haven't gotten around to it for some years. And I don't hunt anymore, so I have little incentive to shoot at targets now.
Of course he called her once someone in his campaign noticed that she had said that he hadn't called her, but that Biden had called. The widow of the slain victim in Saturday’s shooting in Pennsylvania spoke with former President Donald J. Trump on Tuesday, she said in a social media post.
“He was very kind and said he would continue to call me in the days and weeks ahead,” Helen Comperatore wrote, adding that she had told the former president that her husband, Corey Comperatore, “left this world a hero, and God welcomed him in.”
Mr. Comperatore’s sister, Kelly Comperatore Meeder, said members of the family had also spoken with representatives of the Trump campaign on Monday night. Ms. Comperatore Meeder said they had declined an invitation to speak with President Biden.

I can’t help but think that she will be used as a political prop at some point(s) over the next few months. TragicOf course he called her once someone in his campaign noticed that she had said that he hadn't called her, but that Biden had called.
Of course she gushed over his call just as soon as he did call. But he didn't think about calling her on his own.
cheers, Sam!Greg, how the heck do you """know that"""? I suspect that you wish that. He doesn't want to go to a funeral.
That's one of the few things I see eye to eye with that criminal about, neither of us like funerals. Both of us would claw at the walls to avoid going to one.
Otherwise there is nothing about that criminal which is like me.
You wouldn't by happenstance be my first cousin would you? I have a first cousin named Greg who would feel like that. He would say things like you're saying. I do like him. It would be OK if you are my cousin.
Are you 65, both me and him are 65. If you are 65 let me know and I'll ask you another clue family question.
You could cut this short by saying you've not from Colorado, and have never been there. That would clear it up right away.
You wouldn't be my cousin if you're not from Colorado.
Farb btw, and I get along, and he's not my cousin. It doesn't matter.
Greg I think you would be nice to have around at a barbecue even if you aren't my first cousin. Farb too.
Saint's For Life could drink beer in the hills with me as well.
I have lodes of relatives who are Republicans. I'm trying amoung them to amend the hard feelings.
Because there’s no evidence that suggests it was a shard of glass from a teleprompter. The teleprompters were intact.I only care that Trump is claiming he was hit by a bullet when he was not. It’s just another lie he’s pushing because it makes him seem more badass, and his supporters are mythologizing him over surviving a bullet. I care because we should operate in truth, not Trump’s lies.
I don’t get why people are just ceding this lie to him. Why care about any of his lies? Just accept all of them, if that’s the case.
I hope not. That would imply that the Criminal gets to make a state of the union address, and would invite her to be there.I can’t help but think that she will be used as a political prop at some point(s) over the next few months. Tragic
