Assassination attempt on Trump (3 Viewers)

Indeed. Running around calling everyone Hitler seems lazy, and poorly thought out.
Who's doing that? Or are you being overly dramatic as usual?
Several Presidents and Presidential candidates in my lifetime have been called Hitler, and yet they never turned out to be Hitler or anywhere close.
Sure, and invariably, it's always some fringe group doing that. Certainly no one here said that. You're just engaging in hyperbole and you keep doing that so no one will take you seriously.

Do you mean just for ex-presidents? I ask because today, Biden just order the SS to provide security to RFK (canidate) and also beef up the SS at the RNC (Trump). For someone who has no say, he is saying and they doing as ordered. Odd.

He certainly can request it, but as a matter of policy this isn't an ordinary request. This is obviously in response to an assassination attempt. The SS didn't previoisly extend protection to RFK because he doesn't meet the typical requirements for protection. It makes good sense to do so at this point tho. In normal circumstances Biden doesn't have any say so.

All do respect, this is wrong Sam. 300 yards is effective range for an AR with iron sights. Not sure if the shooter had optics, I am sure he did so 150 is an easy shot. An incredibly easy shot with optics. I did read that the shooter tried out for his school's rifle team and didn't make the team, so there is that.
An AR isn't super accurate from 150 yards with iron sights unless you've had a ton of practice and the conditions are reasonably good. And while picking Trump out of a crowd isn't terribly difficult, at 150 yards and a crowd as the backdrop, hitting Trump in the head when he's moving around, even a small amount, is not easy. He squeezed off 4 or 5 rounds and only one grazed Trump.

I tend to think it was a combination of him not scouting and not being a very good shot. A professional would make that shot all day long, but a novice would be lucky to pull that off.

I mean sure, nobody here is drawing parallels between Trump and Hitler (at least I don’t think they are being serious in drawing those parallels), but I’m not sure who I can take seriously given comments I keep seeing centered around Trump and Hitler. The only similarities I see them sharing are funny haircuts and having 2 eyes, feet, ears, and such. That’s where the similarities or parallels end for me (and that from someone who loathes them both).

Tell me Dave, do you draw parallels between Trump and Hitler?

He had zero online presence. We won't really know until the FBI releases his browing history, and communications.

There is a single weak data point for him being a liberal. I'm still not sure SFL understands making a donation to a generic PAC after the election doesn't scream "I'm liberal" like he imagines.
You are the one who is so focused on if he was a Republican to deflect from the Democrat rhetoric about Trump. It doesn't change anything for me about the shooting.

All of the Presidents accused of being Hitler are on the right correct?

There are plenty of historians and writings available to dive into the similarities of the rhetoric and methods used

    here is one.

I think Obama was once called Hitler, and that’s when I first saw this meme “Everyone I don’t like is Hitler.”

It just seems lazy when people go to the Hitler comparisons. Like, that’s when you know that the exchange of ideas is over

I saw that. Lol. Politics make such odd bedfellows (like Republicans getting in bed with Trump).

Unprincipled power chasers just straight selling out. There’s been a whole lot of ring-kissing from Republican anti-Trumpers after he won. Hell, not even kissing really. Slobbering. Lapping.

Yeah, it’s been really wild. More so this go around than with any other politician just due to how polarizing Trump is.

    It’s really sad.

take 10 min to actually read the article.

its primarily about the methodology of his speeches and "key words" - his word "salads" where it invokes 4 or 5 different "key words" in a single sentence.

    Very fascinating.
