Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina, the richest woman in Russia and the widow of Yury Luzhkov, the former mayor of Moscow, Senate Republicans revealed in their report on the younger Biden’s work in Ukraine.

Baturina is referenced in the 87-page report, which was released Wednesday, addressing her payment to Biden’s investment firm in early 2014.

“Baturina became Russia’s only female billionaire when her plastics company, Inteko, received a series of Moscow municipal contracts while her husband was mayor,” it said in providing background on the businesswoman.

The report described her involvement with Biden as “a financial relationship,” but declined to delve deeper into why the wire transfer was made.

The probe also found that Baturina sent 11 wires transfers between May and December 2015 to a bank account belonging to BAK USA, a tech startup that filed for bankruptcy in March 2019.

Nine of those 11 wire transfers were first sent to Rosemont Seneca Partners, the investment firm founded by Biden and Chris Heinz, stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry, before being transferred to BAK USA.

We all know their is massive corruption on both sides of the aisle. Here is an alleged allegation against Hunter Biden who was allegedly enriching himself because his Dad was Vice President.

I'm not one to ask a poster who says something outrageous, "wait, are you serious?" I think I did say something like "you have?" because I was so surprised by such an open admission of multiple screen names and of trolling.
    Ok.
Now that I read some of his other comments, I think maybe he just stated it badly. Just a theory, but maybe he was trying to say that I - Snarky Sack - am a former poster he had arguments with, now back with a different screen name to troll him and others. It was a weird way to make that claim, if he was.
    Could be...idk.
I hope not. I see far too much worrying over a political message board.
I don't really see anyone worrying.

He's not going to see your posts, so I'm quoting you here so he's aware. Not sure he cares enough to respond to it. I don't blame him.
I just ignored a random poster to see if it looks the same as one poster I ignored on another forum. Sure enough, if I have poster on ignore, it looks like this when someone quotes them:

So, your plan to show my posts to that poster even though he is has elected to ignore me won't work. Not unless he thinks 'I wonder what DavXA wants me to see,' and clicks "Show ignored content."

Right, he might be inclined to read, he might not.

Maybe instead of parsing my words in the first place

I mean, that's how language works...the listener parses the sentence spoken to determine what the speaker was saying.

it would be a better idea to either respond to my words as written or ask for clarification.

I thought about doing that a couple of times, but I was afraid if I did that, you'd accuse me of putting words in your mouth.

It is fruitless for us to debate what is and isn't putting words in my mouth any further.

Feel free to debate me or not on actual political topics. I will do the same with you. I'll discuss whatever issue you are interested in. If you put words in my mouth - by my definition, however wrong it may be - that will be the end of that particular exchange.

Stop calling asking questions putting words in your mouth. Geez, get a grip.

Yes, actually. Being that the only reason I mentioned it was so that Dave not think that I am encouraging that sort of childishness.
I know how it works, I've been on this site since it started. I've used the ignore feature before. And I never gave any hint that I thought you were encouraging anything.

Good, good. I also don't want J-Donk to think that I'm encouraging it either.

    But don't quote on that.

I came across this article just now....
Important to note two things here: Joe Biden left the Trump-appointed US Attorney in place when he took office so that he could finish the investigation into Hunter Biden. And Weiss, the Trump-appointed US Attorney in charge of the investigation, said there was no interference in the case and he was free to pursue whatever charges he wanted.

As an aside: I’ve seen a photo of the supposed WhatsApp message and it looks fishy as all get out. Even if it were true, it doesn’t have a date/time stamp, and doesn’t really prove anything about Joe Biden.

Same. The argument is now that Hunter codes his language ("for the big guy") to protect Joe, but also explicitly uses his father as a threat. That makes no sense.

I came across this article just now....

Shapley told the committee that as an investigator for the IRS, he obtained messages Hunter Biden sent on the WhatsApp platform, including one that he read demanding payment from a Chinese businessman named Henry Zhao. In the message, Biden appeared to suggest that he was sitting with his father, then the former vice president, saying, "I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction."

So, not only was Hunter into bribe-seeking, he crossed the line from that to extortion.

I've never seen anyone make the argument that Hunter explicitly uses his father as a threat. "The man sitting next to me" is coded, not explicit.

I saw that explanation last night on a tv program as well.
This should not be explained away or overlooked.

Did you see the supposed message? It was not coded at all because he said “I am sitting here with my father”. I think you just make shirt up as you go without ever checking your facts.
