Constant interruptions. It’s striking to me. As I typed this sentence, Graham interrupted her twice.

I wish people would follow Graham through an airport and heckle him over this. He continued to interrupt her and tell her what she said during the time she was attempting to set him straight. Total BS.

Thankfully, this is the last day and we don't have to deal with what's turned into a circus. This is supposed to be a professional, serious and historic setting. The Republicans on the committee don't give a sheet.

That said, the Democrats have turned hearings into a circus before, so what's good for the goose...at least in the Republicans' minds. I don't agree with them, but that's certainly their approach. It's all ultimately political theater.

I'll just be happy when this is over and Jackson is ultimately confirmed.

Lol, I just want an avowed atheist to get nominated so the those on the committee can squirm when asking those questions of faith. I think that would be an interesting scene.

Before today's hearings began.

Both parties have turned these hearings into theater. My first recollection of this happening was Bork. Since then we have gone downhill to now where we are asking, "rate your faith on a scale of 1-10." That is a question you would see on some bad reality TV show.

What we need is someone that doesn't care about being confirmed getting up there. Bring a bunch of binders that have dirt on all the Senators. Every time one of the Senators asks a stupid question/makes a stupid statement respond with airing their dirty laundry. You want a **** show, I'll give you a **** show.

Cruz is a special kind of idiot.

Theater is one thing. In a society where visual media is so impactful, it's no surprise that these hearings have become theater. But this airing of grievances by Republicans needs to be given a specific name and mocked endlessly in anticipation of every SC nomination to discourage it. It's so tedious and stupid.

Maybe "Festivus for the Justices". Maybe a dem senator can even bring a pole on a tire and hang all the the republican grievances on the pole to make a point.

Ted Cruz was worse than Graham. Graham went 10 minutes over his time. Cruz also went over and both were brazenly disrespectful. Their dog whistles to QAnon are disgusting and they are responsible for putting a target on her for the crazies in that group.

He’s been calling for that for weeks. He’s an absolute buffoon - the whole legal profession has been laughing about Tucker saying that somehow the LSAT shows who’s a “brilliant legal mind” (his words) and who isn’t. It’s part of getting into law school and then no one ever asks about it again.

But also no other judicial nominee is pressed about that so why does he think it’s so important now? He’s such a piece of shirt. Honestly, he knows it’s stupid but he thinks he can make it seem like some scandal and much of his audience will buy it. Because much of his audience is ignorant or stupid or both.
