There is a lot of push-back from Trump on voting by mail, but most states allow it, and 1/3 allow it without any excuse. His rationale is that it will lead to vast fraud, but of course that isn't his real reason. His real reason is that he thinks it will be worse for conservatives, but studies have shown that states that have instituted much broader voting by mail haven't had any statistical changes in party voting.

Although, normally voting by mail doesn't affect party votes, I bet it might this year if we have another resurgence of Covid, because I think the right is much more apt to discount the virus than the left. I know that is why Trump is against it.

Whether you're left or right wing, expanding mail in votes is the right thing to do to reduce the likelihood of spreading the virus, to expand voter participation, and to make it easier for those that do show up to stay distant. It will also allow any people with susceptibilities to remain safer. I think voting by mail could be made extremely secure by having people vote using traditional postal mail, coupled with requiring a confirmation either by phone, email or text. If done by phone, then voters can provide confirmation that can include confirming their form number. If done by email or text, it can include a picture of their form, and then confirmation that that was their form. Rather than staffers individually calling people, this can be automated by having voters call the number, text the number, or email the address provided to them on their form. A website can even be created with a database of those that have voted, and perhaps a link to allow people to confirm their vote was correctly registered. For people without computers, a site can include a means to access the database over the phone with some confirmation information. These types of systems are used extensively by banks and other sites that need security, so I think they are mature enough to use. We could even use such a site for people to confirm their vote on the day of the election.

From reading the Q-ish comments on Twitter, they think she is still going to expose this conspiracy, but that it is so explosive that she couldn’t be associated with Trump. Why? Who knows.

The alternate theory is that Rudy and Jenna were paid off by Dominion, leaving Sidney as the only good guy lawyer left.

    🤷‍♀️

I think I will go with this take:

    This is getting ridiculous...

From what I understand from reading today, if he votes against, he can be just be removed and replaced with another Republican. This body doesn’t have any investigative authority, they are solely there to tally up the votes that were already certified and submitted by each county. The Secretary of State can remove him if he refuses to do his job. They will audit the results, like they always do, but they cannot do that until after the results are certified.

I am going off memory here, so feel free to research to confirm. It won’t matter at all if the other Republican votes to certify though, as they only need a majority three out of four.

My guess is that the reason the two Rs in Wayne County changed their mind is because someone explained to them that they were not in any position to force an investigation, that’s not their role. So they have to certify if the numbers add up correctly. The same with this state body.

It’s not up to them, if what I read today is correct.

ETA, I found a link explaining this. Not the one I saw earlier, but covers the same information

Also, to highlight that this whole theory is silly, the same machines are in use in states Trump won, but he’s not challenging their use in those states. They were used in more than one county in Wisconsin, but Trump won those counties, so he didn’t choose them for his recount in Wisconsin.

So that profile picture in the Parler post above (with handle BrianMAGALaw) was apparently lifted from an actual person on Instagram, it’s the exact photo. This gentleman is a pro-Biden, gay body builder, it gives his name and everything.

I wonder if he knows that some wing nut on Parler is using his photo? 🤦‍♀️ Poor guy.

If it's true that Governer Whitmer has the authority to fire him and replace him on the spot for failing to do his job, I almost hope this dope votes not to certify.

In MAGAWorld, that kind of fraud - even if it's real fraud - is okay.

Well, then, is he an openly gay body builder who also supported Biden for President? Could you go inquire? 😁

Q folk are discussing their plan and what this all means. Love the haughty “it should be obvious”. Lol.
