Election Night (+4) in America - Result: Biden Elected President (5 Viewers)

I think the better question is whether Trump commits to the kind or orderly transition that requires a lot of work and most Americans don’t fully appreciate goes on in the last 100 days of a lame duck term. Or will Trump effectively engaged in scorched earth - and if so, how much damage will he do?

Kudlow says the former. McConnell says the former. We’ll see.
Theres a lot of career employees that will work to get things transitioned. he might whine and throw a tantrum but most of the work that goes on he has no clue about. What I'm afraid of his him making any changes or decisions that can't be reversed by Biden.

I don’t think he can unilaterally do that - his only power to effect change is by executive order and that’s somewhat limited and immediately reversible by the next president.

I guess pursestrings can be pulled, once money is paid out, not likely it will be returned.

Do you think Twitter will suspend Trumps account after Jan 20? I know with him being the president, he doesn't get treated the same as other members. If he starts violating their policies and no longer using the platform to communicate as the president, I feel like they can suspend his account completely.

Even that is limited - Congress principally controls budget and to the extent the executive branch has appropriations they are “programmed” and subject to all sorts of federal law. He can’t just rob the executive branch coffers.

Not saying he won’t try some shady shirt but there’s quite a bit of safeguard there.

Twitter already announced that he will become fully subject to Twitter TOS without accommodation.

To go further on the irregularites: If anything, I'd say the irregularities are on their side, there was a huge get out to vote movement from the Dems...the Repubs just pretty much said "let it ride...no new platform just moar MAGA" and magically they pulled 8 mil more votes out of their arses? And didn't trump tell his people to vote by mail & vote in person? Or am I getting something wrong? Now I'm not saying that actually happened but as of late whenever the GOP accuses someone of something, that usually means that they're guilty of it themselves.

Matter of fact, that happened in North Carolina who seems to be reporting numbers as slow as Nevada. Maybe some listened and the state picked up on it.

Why you use the ability to use reason is irrelevant. Believing in BS like QAnon, and letting someone else do their thinking for them.t i is not an intelligent thing to do.
It's not a rational thing to do for most people. It might be a matter of intelligence in a minority of instances, but in most it's a matter of being irrationally driven by emotions.

Also, we all let our emotions get us to believe and do irrational things to some degree. It's an inherent part of being human.

Kind of like my disdain for Refs even though I know Godell is not in NY telling them what to do, but I do think that might be true. :)

Well, I'm a conservative independent and he doesn't speak for me or a lot of other conservatives who are no fans of Trump and his ilk.
This is objective proof of how irrational it is to see ourselves and label others with terms like "conservative" and all the others, because that word does not have any objective meaning and the only practical effect that it has is to get us to stop seeing individuals for who they uniquely are and see them as we are told to see them. All of these labels are subjective and don't mean the same things to different people.

They are used to create division to emotionally manipulate us into irrational beliefs and actions.
