So the 538 polls were off 4-5 points in Florida. That seems bad if it applies across the board.

Unfortunately, more expensive that most of the US. However they have been propped up by financial assistance from federal and state governments during COVID19, so we will see whether there is a correction in due course once that dries up.

On that note, on July 24, our state of Victoria had 534 new cases of COVID19 and France had 514.

On 30 July, we had 721 cases and the UK had 763.

We had a hard lockdown from July through most of October.

As at today, we have had five consecutive days of zero new cases. France is over 36,000. The UK is over 25,000.

Despite all the noise to the contrary, good governance can genuinely halt this thing in its tracks. It's why I find the criticisms of American politicians who are trying to implement similar measures to be so confounding. Biden may not have the appetite nor the means to impose equivalent restrictions but from a public health perspective, I think he gives you a much better path out of this than the alternative. I'm genuinely worried for my American friends.

In VA the northern counties always report late - and will be heavily in favor of Biden.

Trump is up 2.6 points in FL. ABC/WaPo poll had Trump +2 and Trafalgar +3 while most other pollsters had Biden up. These might be the polls to watch moving forward. Nate Silver has Biden up 2.5 in FL while RCP had Biden at 0.9. RCP might be the aggregator to look at.

My cousin in Richmond is saying VA is being called for Blue. She says Fairfax is all that matters.

AP already called VA for Biden.

It took zero minutes and zero seconds after the polls closed for the AP to call Louisiana for Trump. Some day I hope to get that up to like five minutes.

This was the map I posted Sunday that assumed the polls were off and Trump won every state that Biden had less than a +4 lead on RCP. Between Sunday and today the polls got much tighter.

NY got called insatntly too. I don't know why they bother to make some of these states gray on maps.

Sounds like the Cuban Vote turned way out. Biden is under performing with Latinos in general compared to Hillary.
He is doing great in the suburbs and has siphoned some votes from Trump with the blue collar middle class voters.
