    The football board had the very useful Daily Trump Tracker thread, which was a good place to briefly discuss the latest ridiculous thing that might have ended 97% of prior Presidential administrations even if it didn't necessarily justify an entire thread devoted to it in 2017-2019 (because of the sheer volume of these things). Since I don't see anything like that here already, I'll add one myself.

    This is really small potatoes, but why do this? Nobody wants to see spent shotgun shells floating beside a wildlife painting of a duck, do they? It’s just pointless and looks like polluting the waterways.

    What we had was a cooperation between hunters and wildlife painters, both working toward wildlife conservation. Now, we have stupid glorification of litter.

    This administration specializes in potatoes both big and small

    Arguments/Altercations/Unrest/Intimidation/Violence at the polls

    Just what we need
    ========================================

    The day after the presidential debate, the phones began to ring at the clerk’s office in Ada County, Idaho, with a handful of residents worried about their safety at the polls. Election officials hastily added training for poll workers on what to do if someone shows up armed.

    In Orange County, Calif., law enforcement officers have been given pocket cards detailing the criminal codes on voting disruption, and election personnel have been trained to monitor police radio dispatches for reports of problems at the polls.

    In a dozen battleground states, the N.A.A.C.P. has thousands of volunteers preparing to monitor voting lines, all to encourage anyone facing harassment to stay in line and to aggressively use social media to amplify their reports. Another group is taking the unusual step of training volunteers to physically block intimidators.

    As early voting accelerates across the nation, election experts say President Trump’s recent statements, emboldened extremist groups and the coronavirus pandemic have combined to create a tension around casting ballots not seen since the Jim Crow era, when civil rights activists were forced to pry open polling places in the South.....................

    ............ At last week’s presidential debate, the moderator, Chris Wallace, asked Trump, “Will you urge your supporters to stay calm during this extended period, not to engage in any civil unrest?” President Trump refused to say “yes.” “I’m urging my supporters to go into the polls and watch very carefully … I am urging them to do it,” he said. That answer was deeply alarming.

    In the days since, Trump has tested positive for the coronavirus—a development that adds to the uncertainty of the presidential campaign. In such a fluid climate, the notion that political partisans should flock to polling places is all the more worrisome............

    I wonder if Trump sticks to this or cave in to the pressure of falling numbers. Frankly, I'm happy the commission made a decision so quickly after the VP debate.

    I am just hearing a snippet that during his interview this morning he called for the indictment of Joe Biden. (Along with Obama of course.) If true, and I just heard it briefly because I wasn’t really watching, just had it on in the background, he truly is replaying the classics and hoping for the same lightning in a bottle to save him this time.

    I cannot help but reflect that Biden never featured in his attacks until he perceived Biden to be a political threat. Now all of a sudden Biden was responsible for everything Obama did. What a transparent fool.

    I think the debate should proceed with an open invitation for Trump to join whenever he feels like it. Have a spot for him on the monitor, and start asking Joe questions.
