The football board had the very useful Daily Trump Tracker thread, which was a good place to briefly discuss the latest ridiculous thing that might have ended 97% of prior Presidential administrations even if it didn't necessarily justify an entire thread devoted to it in 2017-2019 (because of the sheer volume of these things). Since I don't see anything like that here already, I'll add one myself.

Only one thing can turn this race around, and Mr. Trump was brave enough to do it: HER EMAILS!!!!!!!

Dude, he's not going to release documents from legitimate government sources, he's releasing his henchman's work which is, at best, trump's personal propaganda piece or, more likely, putin's.

If I was Nancy, I'd respond with proposal on his desk at 9 am for 2x that amount saying this is what will save American businesses and employees.

That way, she claims victory and takes the wind right out his sail.

He tossing up softballs...at some point, they gotta take one our the yard.

But isn't that part of the over spending? Shouldn't he be more focused on the unemployment and PPP, and airlines protection? Why the $1200 to many people who are still working?
I'm getting frustrated with people thinking like this.

There are a lot of people who have had their income heavily reduced by a reduction in hours and/or pay, but since they are still working they don't qualify for unemployment. I wish people would stop assuming to know the struggles others may or may not be having. My hours, and therefore my income, have been reduced by 75%. I haven't been able to replace that lost income, but not from a lack of effort. I can't get unemployment benefits, because I'm not unemployed.

Underemployment is a big of a problem as unemployment.

The $1.200 won't be enough to keep me from losing my apartment when this is over, but it will help me make sure that I can buy food and other health sustaining necessities for the duration.

You may not have seen my post months ago on this subject.

To me, when I say unemployment, I also mean underemployment.

I had my hours cut by 40% for a couple months, then 20%. Only last week did a few of us get back to full time.

The only thing that made is tolerable was that florida has an STC program (not sure of all states do). Basically, a certain window of hours reduction (I think working 24-36 hours) gets a partial state benefit, a d then we would qualify for the full fed benefit. Oh, and the company has to apply for it. There is a max time allowed too.

So, work 3 days a week, florida would pay 110 for the 2 days (total) of nonwork. Then the 600 fed payment.

When that dried up, luckily I was working 4 days a week. So, then just a $55 payment for that day I missed. I make a few multiples of that in one day. So, it was slightly hurting. I think I lost like $2000-3000 over a 2 month period. Not crushing me, but I felt it.

I know he is bat shirt crazy but the roids he is on and the illness he is dealing with is truly making him dangerous to all of us. I am no stock market genius but he cost people tons today.

The ex was on a steroids for a short time and made her exceptionally hard to deal with. In fact me and the dog left town for the weekend because she was such a pain. we went camping. So I would rather sleep on the ground and not have ac than deal with the crap anymore. I am certain what he is on is makes prednisone seem like candy.

Obviously so that he can sign the checks like last time and lay total claim to the idea of sending everyone money - “you’re welcome.”

He was going to send all seniors $200 gift cards for the pharmacy but they couldn’t find program money they could steal for his campaign use.

It’s clearly for that purpose and not because he thinks American households need it. He’s never said anything like that.

I either didn't see your post or don't remember it. Glad that you were able to get some assistance. I haven't been able to find any programs for underemployment here in CA, other than for the loss of independent contractor income.

I'll manage without it and I don't think I'm entitled to another stimulus payment, but it sure would help.

It’s direct market manipulation. Word gets out that he is going to say “no deal” on a stimulus. The market tanks and the people in the know short sale before it’s public and make a killing. Then they cover their shorts first thing in the morning because they knew the play he called.

I don’t think it has anything to do with actually changing his mind and wanting to help average Americans.

I have suspected market manipulation for almost his entire term. I don’t know if it’s him doing it directly or someone close enough to know (at times, anyway) when he’s going to go after a specific company or industry, or tout a specific country or industry.

I wouldn’t put anything past this bunch of grifters and cons.
