Some in news and punditry have talked about a possible repeat of chaos and protests at the Democratic National Convention similar to when the convention was in Chicago and there was a fight to replace the primary winner.

George Bush senior: "No new taxes". Bill Clinton: despite a Ken Starr, re election was overwhelming due to great economic numbers presumably from his policy. George Bush Jr: years of deregulation caused a massive banking failure; leading to obama's election of hope and change. Trump 2016: partially due to the 2008 crash where Obama voters felt free market policies represented by tpp cost them manufacturing jobs. Biden: colossal policy failure by trump handling of covid, leading to high unemployment.

if he's so sure if it, why start off with "in my opinion"?.. because he knows he's full of shirt that's why..
his first false is he said when a president is speaking. Trump isn't president, so things are different for former and or candidates..

Why would he start off with its my opinion? Maybe because it's his opinion as opposed to confirmed facts which we have little at this point. It's funny you act like that's a legitimate criticism.

Then you want to focus on him calling Trump president instead of former president? That's a bit nitpicky don't you think? I see former govenors, mayor's, etc being called governor, mayor on TV quite often and they don't always say former. Once again, just an odd thing to be focused on.

Trump is a former and not current president, but no other former presidents ran for president before right? So this is a unique situation security wise around Trump and its not like he's just a regular candidate.

He seems to be someone who has a ton of experience as Sniper and he was actually one of the best. You don't have to believe or think it's important to hear from someone like that, but I do especially when we know very little about what and how everything happened.

There is no way that roof shouldn't have been secured and someone should have seen a guy who was climbing onto a roof with a big rifle within 150 yards of the leading candidate and a former president. The guy who got interviewed with the red hair and Maga hat said they saw this guy for 2 to 3 minutes before the shot and they alerted the police or SS. How does that not get a signal sent to get Trump off the stage or tackle Trump before the guy shot the gun?

It was such a huge mistake and Trump would be dead right now if he's hadn't turned his head so it's hard to act like this was just not enough SS or police or lack of training. We don't have many confirmed facts so we are all doing a lot of speculating, but initially this doesn't look good.

Are you in denial about the years of violent rhetoric coming from Trump, MAGA, and right wing pundits? It’s central to Trump’s appeal. I’m not doing an accounting of that for you. If you’ve ignored it or simply want to deny it, then ignorance is a choice you can live with.

Trump is a threat to our democracy and the policy initiatives he’s associated with are a danger to millions of people. Identifying that isn’t a call to violence.
