    Figured we should start a separate thread on the arrests and those involved in the storming of the Capitol. I know it has been talked about in the other thread a lot, but for the ones who just want to follow the ones arrested and/or charged, this will be an easier way to see updates on the investigations.

    Link below is everyone who has been arrested. But we know there will be more.

    The website seems to be updated with new information daily.

    The ones who are getting the most air time:

    when an ex gets married and they say, “ speak now or forever hold your peace” he’s the guy who shows up uninvited and speaks now

    never go down without a fight
    Ya you always have to make sure everyone know what a blithering idiot you are on your way down the shirtter.

    Interesting. Wonder how this came about. Why does this guy in particular get Trumps attorney
    ====================

    A lawyer who defended former President Donald Trump during his impeachment trial against a charge of inciting the riot at the U.S. Capitol is now representing a man charged alongside other members and associates of the far-right Oath Keepers extremist group in the Jan. 6 attack.

    Michael van der Veen, a Philadelphia-based attorney, filed a motion this week to appear in Washington D.C.‘s federal court to represent Jason Dolan, a Florida man recently added to the Department of Justice’s largest conspiracy case stemming from the deadly riot.

    Van der Veen was part of the team that represented Trump during his historic second impeachment trial in the U.S. Senate that resulted in the former president’s acquittal earlier this year. Trump was impeached by the House on the sole charge of incitement of insurrection one week after the riot…….

    1st sentencing in, seems light if this will be final
    =====================
    On Wednesday, a federal judge is scheduled to hand down the first sentence to one of the more than 400 people now charged in the January 6 Capitol riot.

    Last month, Anna Morgan-Lloyd, 49, of Bloomfield, Indiana, agreed to plead guilty to a single charge of parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building. In exchange, the Department of Justice agreed to recommend three years of probation, 40 hours of community service and a $500 fine.

    Accordable to an affidavit filed in federal court in February, Morgan-Lloyd was identified as someone who had posted about the Capitol riot by an employee at the Greene County (Indiana) Sheriff’s Office when she attempted to apply for firearms permit. The sheriff’s department then reviewed her Facebook, and found numerous posts by her and a friend, Dona Sue Bissey (also of Bloomfield) appearing to show them inside the U.S. Capitol building on January 6.

    In one post, the FBI says Morgan-Lloyd posted that it was the “best day ever.”

    “We stormed the capital [sic] building me and Dona Bissey were in the first 50 people in,” Morgan-Lloyd allegedly posted..............

    Amazing how yell blue lives matter and all lives matter until they don't..

    These are the same people that have "back the blue" and "support our military signs" but need their guns for "when the government decides to take over our lives".

    Who do you think is going to be the muscle behind that "government" there Cletus?

    I've never really understood how one could simultaneously distrust the government so much and yet hold the street level enforcement of government in unquestioned regard.

    High-level gubmint forces your schools to integrate. Street-level helps you plan a lynching.

    Oath Keeper Graydon Young Pleads Guilty to Conspiracy, Will Testify in Capitol Riot Case

    raydon Young, an accused Capitol rioter, agreed to plead guilty on Wednesday and as part of his plea deal, he may take the stand against his co-conspirators.
    oung was charged with conspiracy, obstruction of an official proceeding, destruction of government property, entering a restricted building and tampering with documents or proceedings. His agreement has him pleading guilty to conspiracy and obstruction of an official proceeding.

    If Roofgardener was still around (i'm sure he is under a different name) he would be crying conspiracy.
    But his favorite rebuttal was no one has been charged with conspiracy or insurrection.

    I'm sure that's exactly what happened
    ==========================

    Friends and family members of a US Capitol rioter charged with dragging a police officer into the violent mob told a federal judge that he was actually trying to help the officer despite video of the harrowing incident showing him pulling the officer away from the police line.

    Kentucky resident Clayton Mullins was charged with eight crimes tied to the incident, where an officer was dragged into the crowd and viciously beaten, leading to a tug-of-war between the pro-Trump rioters and other officers who tried to pull their colleague back to safety. Mullins is accused of dragging the officer into the mob and shoving another who was trying to save him.

    Mullins has pleaded not guilty. His lawyers say he was "trying to rescue" the officer that he dragged........

    Reminds me of Bill Hicks talking about the Rodney King video. "If you play it backwards, you see us help him up and send him on his way."

    Seems obvious , glad too see that it’ll make things harder on them
    ==========

    PHOENIX (AP) — They flaunted their participation in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol on social media and then, apparently realizing they were in legal trouble, rushed to delete evidence of it, authorities say. Now their attempts to cover up their role in the deadly siege are likely to come back to haunt them in court.

    An Associated Press review of court records has found that at least 49 defendants are accused of trying to erase incriminating photos, videos and texts from phones or social media accounts documenting their conduct as a pro-Donald Trump mob stormed Congress and briefly interrupted the certification of Democrat Joe Biden’s election victory.

    Experts say the efforts to scrub the social media accounts reveal a desperate willingness to manipulate evidence once these people realized they were in hot water. And, they say, it can serve as powerful proof of people’s consciousness of guilt and can make it harder to negotiate plea deals and seek leniency at sentencing.

    “It makes them look tricky, makes them look sneaky,” said Gabriel J. Chin, who teaches criminal law at the University of California, Davis……..
