Couldn't think of a place to put these. I remember discussing this with someone on this board about how the DA in the Democractic held cities are not to blame for the crime spiked. I figured this would be a good to place to post the truth.

    https://www.dailywire.com/news/a-te...e-manhattan-da-just-defended-offices-leniency

"A 16-year-old who brutally attacked a New York City policeman who confronted him over an unpaid subway fee will be tried as a juvenile and face rehabilitation instead of prison.

The teenager, whose name has not been released due to his age, had been arrested for two additional felonies in under four months, Fox News reported, yet Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office recommended the teen be released without bail and face family court. Bragg’s office also provided a statement to Fox defending the district attorney’s leniency.

    ......
Surveillance footage shows the teen punching the NYPD officer more than 20 times, using a chokehold, and slamming him against a metal gate. Just three days before the attack, Fox reported, the teen had been arrested and released without bail for allegedly attacking a stranger and robbing them. In April, the same teen had been arrested for possession of a handgun and crossbow. The DA’s office told Fox they were not aware of the weapons charges."

This cat had a lengthy record and a history of mental illness. Oh well, we had to lose a young person this this guy can have his 'dignity' while living on the streets like an animal. Typical LA.

This is actually a pretty good in depth article and unbiased as far as I can tell. Though only about NYC.

    You could've put it here:

I am curious why do you think that spikes in crime are the fault of DA's.

Similar nit picks can be compiled from any State.

He’s posting almost every article from the likes of the NY Post and Daily Wire. He thinks that because that‘s what they tell him to think.

Dude a Mississippi city -Jackson- has some of the worst murder and crime rates in the world - not country ….. world.

And where you are, Alabama, between your sky high crime, religious caliphate state house, high unemployment, low education and terrible health care your state is literal third world propped up by the US.

According to this site, New York has about half the per capita crime of many counties in Louisiana.

Select various states and then sort by z factor and you’ll see. New York is about 500/100k violent crimes. The Bloomberg article that you posted noted that crime is about 5 times lower now than it was in the 90s. The difference is media awareness.

Their policies that are leading them to get recalled and blasted by their voters. They are against mass incarceration and bail reform which allows violent offenders back on the street and the effects have been deadly. All of this is of course due to the fight of 'systemic racism'. While a reform of the justice system might be a good thing, the alt-left attempt is just a disaster.
Now the question is would the Reps do any better. No, they would not. They suck as well. What would work to help the crime problem? Hard to say, but I think it all hinges on self accountability and the removal of victimhood as a virtue.

    Krasner in Philly
    Boudin in San Fran
    Mosby in Baltimore
    Foxx in Chicago (Smollette anyone?)
    Gascon in San Fran

    Those are just a few.

As opposed to you reading things that tell you not to believe it? Remember, they told you the vaccine was safe, effective and free and you believed them. They also told you a guy wearing a dress is a woman because that is how he feels and you believed them so much so that men can now have babies. So maybe tone down the righteous fly by jabs, Just a touch maybe?

Feel free to disprove me at anytime.

So, what do you think about the rise of crime in Chicago and San Fran?

You did good this time though, you didn't mention Trump one time in your reply. I am proud of you.

If mass incarnation worked, then why does Louisiana have a massive murder problem?

Even better, since you want to use anecdotal evidence. What is going on in Mobile, or the state of Alabama as a whole?

How is your Republican governor, AG, and city's DA going so soft on crime that the city you live in is more dangerous then some of the liberal murder capitals you listed?

We can just end this entire thread by asking you to show us an exemplary criminal justice system that works.

The main source of the rise of crime in Chicago and San Fran is the media trying to manipulate mostly rural people who will never be anywhere near those cities.

...articles having nothing whatsoever to do with causation / correlation of crime rates, disguised as efforts to understand why our justice system is broken, but intended to support a narrative, without evidence, that wokeness is the reason for crime. Thanks, but I'm good.

If you ever want to have a serious discussion about how to address crime as a society, I'm here for it, but this ain't it.

What policies? I wasn't aware that DA's wrote policy.

How's AL and MS doing anyway?

Can you show me one? You seem to think you have the answers. Is it your contention that the current Soros plan is working? Do you back Soro's attempt to change our criminal justice system by financially backing alt-left DAs?

Did I mention that my city is safe? Can you show me that please? You brought it up, so please show me where I said that?

Cool story. Is that why San Fran just outed Boudin because all of us hicks decided so or was it the highly educated and sophisticated voters of that city? I think you need to explain how this worked.
Can you also please explain 'media' as you use it?

I am here for you as well, but I have feeling you will get upset and then ghost the conversation. We can start by the elimination of false victimhood in this country, but that is a spicy conversation that most on the left can't have without going into tears and screaming I am a racist and a bigot. Also a nazi. The left loves to call people nazis without actually ever looking in the mirror.

Funny though, that the people that are living under these DAs are recalling and outing them, but go on tell me about how the 'media' is manipulating us dumb hick conservatives. It is a good look and will server you all well in 2022 and 2024.

I can tell you were not aware. You should look them up and check out the new policies that were implemented by the DA and their offices.

Here, just to help you along: https://sfdistrictattorney.org/policy/

San Francisco District Attorney Boudin and the District Attorney’s Office develop and implement data-driven policies and practices that promote justice, protect crime survivors, and that address the root causes of crime. The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office also strives to create policies that promote racial justice; end the criminalization of poverty; and combat mass incarceration by relying on incarceration as a last—and not first—resort.
Many of these policies involve innovative approaches designed to remedy systemic problems. The Office gathers and relies upon data-backed evidence in making policy decisions.

How is Mexico doing? Yall got those cartels sorted out yet? Which cartel will end up running your government next year? See how that has nothing to do with the thread other than a horrible attempt at a 'gotcha' drive by. I did expect better.

I didn't call you any of those things, so I'm just not going to entertain all that.

My point was that if you are going to generally argue that progressive policies and the DAs implementing them have led to an increase in crime, you might consider using data to compare progressive approaches to other approaches and connect the dots as to why one works, and the other doesn't.

Are you comparing all of MX to AL and MS? Because MX is a country with 32 States and one federal district. Personally, I live in the safest State in MX. A tragic year in homicides here is a slow weekend in Jackson, MS.

Asking about MS and AL is definitely not a "gotcha drive-by". You are complaining about "woke DA's" causing crime spikes with their policies in their States; I just want to know if woke DA's policies are to blame as well for the spike in crime in MS and AL.
