I figured a thread like this would be a good place to keep all of the many investigations to come. I know there's already a Trump Tracker but I thought have a thread dedicated the coming investigations and prosecutions might be better for discussion. If not, it'll die on a vine much like all house legislation under Mitch McConnell.

I'll start with the first one.

"DOJ Officials" read Trump being looked at for election fraud.

Trump is not actually directly being investigated as Superchuck500 points out. He could possibly have legal exposure for his part.

I think the target of that investigation is more Jeffery Clark than Trump. I believe it is related to the NYT article that was the subject of this thread: https://madaboutpolitics.com/thread...rgia-to-overturn-its-election-results.112037/

You're right Chuck. I saw it reported and was more focused on the reporting of Trump being involved than I was in reading the actual article. That's definitely my bad.
Dammit. I'm guilty of the very same shirt I railed against Trump supporters for doing. How.....Republican of me.

It's cool. It's not a bad thread idea. I think there will be quite a few of these in the executive branch (IG and the like). One thing I'd like to see is a reexamination of how to make agency ethics officials have greater authority - they were utterly ignored under Trump. He held a campaign rally at the White House!

Kind of related. I don't know where else to put it.

Claudia says she’s getting off social media (again). I really have to believe this was a hack. I can’t imagine a mother doing this, even Kellyanne. I know they have their problems, and last week was really awful (cops were at the house and everything). I just can’t believe she would do something like this.

Hack or no hack. Does any normal adult carry photos of topless 16 year old girls on their phone? It's possession of child pornography.

Only question I have to that is why would Kellyanne have a nude selfie of her teenage daughter on her phone?

ETA: What Eeyore said.

So, I'm just speculating here, mostly because I don't want to believe a mother would do something like this.

My wife has access to my son's iCloud account to keep tabs on him. She monitors all of our kid's online activities. If Claudia took a picture to send a boy (which 16yo girls do) and someone hacked Kellyanne, they would also have access to her iCloud as well. There have been a number of celebrity iCloud hacks like this. They may also share a Dropbox that their phones upload pictures to. My wife and I have one (our kids don't use it but they might).

Claudia did confirm the pic was real and she took it, but that's all the details I'm aware of. I haven't seen the pic, and won't, because she's a child.

Once again, I'm trying to think the best until the worse is proven because I can't wrap my head around a mother doing this intentionally.

I read about this the other day

I saw a quick lawyer break down on that situation. He explained that since the cases weren't seeking damages, and were simply seeking to have the courts force Trump to stop profiting off of the presidency, once he was no longer president, the courts could not grant the plaintiff's the relief they were seeking. That's why they were dismissed.
