Trump directs DOJ and DHS to get tough with law firms (1 Viewer)

Any law firm giving in to these ridiculous attacks by appeasing Trump just needs to end their practice. They aren't worth shirt.

At least we get to see who all the appeasers are (in both business and government).

Also, Democrats definitely need to go after outfits like America First Legal, the Federalist Society and Fox News when they get back in power. No Mercy!

Yeah - the Paul Weiss capitulation only emboldens the whole attack program. Sad

This is not helping the cause!

We are slipping away, just as the Democrats repeatedly warned.

The United States doesn't have an Attorney General to argue on our behalf because Bondi has stated that she's the President's AG and soon, the US Congress will take steps to eliminate certain Federal Courts.

These firms are only as strong as their clients! If their clients are not willing to stick with them, they will cave. So, once again, it's up to We, the People to hold the line. Ben Franklin was right!

I cannot read the article, so what is a “sovereign wealth fund”?

    It's a state-owned investment fund.

Norway has one - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_Pension_Fund_of_Norway - that the larger part of was created in the 1990s to invest surplus oil revenue (the UK notably did not do something similar with their own revenue).

But there's lots of others, list here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sovereign_wealth_funds_by_country

They can be controversial, in the sense of being used for influence and soft power by particular regimes. E.g. Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) led a consortium to buy Newcastle United which continues to be controversial given human rights concerns (e.g. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czjeywklx9jo).

Russia has one (a dwindling one, but its Putins checkbook )

THATS what Trump is after. make no mistake- its not for "sovereign wealth" to be distributed to fund programs- he thinks it will be his own slush fund to do whatever he thinks is needed.
