I think so. Susan Rice may be qualified but I don't see the point in giving Trump the ammo to tie even more of Obama's administration to Biden's campaign.

The tea leaves (Harris already announced as a convention speaker and betting markets now favoring Rice) could be indicating it's Rice, but I agree, I'd prefer Harris. We'll find out soon.

Harris being listed as a speaker doesn't necessarily eliminate her as the pick IMO.

I was under the impression that Biden and Harris have no love for each other and to be honest, I think they hate each other.

They always have VP debates. Pence isn't a great debater.

Exactly. Somewhere Pence is shaking in his boots at the idea of what their debate will look like.

Susan Rice would be a better VP, but I don't think brings any sort of constituency that Biden needs. This was a political choice and I think was probably the right one. Of course, I have no idea about this sort of thing.

Why do y'all think she's going to destroy Pence in the debates? I don't remember her being that good across the debates and I don't remember Pence being that bad.

I think debates end up being overrated on the impact they have. I think if the candidates just stick to their pre-defined talking points even if they're actually not about the topic at hand, they end up doing fine when it comes to polling.
