Sort of a tangent off the VP thing, but I don't share your high level of confidence in the inevitability of a Biden victory. While Biden is certainly in a better position than Trump right now (and in a better position than Hillary ever was), I think it's very dangerous to underestimate Trump's chance at re-election. There is still a long way to go and while I generally trust the polling, I do worry that there could be a bit of a Trump factor that simply just exists and makes it difficult for pollsters to make as accurate a projection as normal.I agree with a lot of this, but I think you have to consider what I believe to be a fact that Biden could nominate Harris or Sanders right now and still win. It isn't some hanging by a thread scenario. Polls suggest he could win Texas and Georgia. This will IMHO be one of the largest blowouts in history. The Republicans are going to cry Socialism if John McCain ran against them. There was never any substance to their fearmongering..They cry out against social Democrats, not the silly red scare monikers they throw at the wall. All of that is irrelevant now in the face of a populace who overwhelmingly simply wants Trump out.

Is Demings totally out of the picture, then?
Biden's campaign has said that he would name his VP choice the first week of August, but USA Today is reporting that he has pushed the announcement back. He is now expected to make the announcement the week before the convention, which starts August 17.
I am now leaning toward his naming Harris as VP and Rice as Secretary of State with Bass filling another prominent role.
We could only wish the IRS will look into them and others, no matter the side. One of the leaders of our country's death cult is campaigning against Biden.

The debates will be in person. Just socially distanced.Looks like Joe's gonna accept the nomination from his home. Circumstances being what they are, he may not have to leave Delaware until (potentially) inauguration day.
Joe Biden will no longer travel to Milwaukee to accept Democratic nomination | CNN Politics
Joe Biden will no longer accept the Democratic presidential nomination in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, officials said Wednesday, in the latest and strongest sign that the Democratic National Convention will be almost entirely virtual due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.www.cnn.com
Doh, didn't think about that, assuming they still do them in person and not online. My guess is at there either won't be an audience, or it if there is one it will be very limited (the second debate was supposed to be "town hall style," so we'll see how they pull that off). The debates will be in person. Just socially distanced.

If this is true I prefer Harris. I'd just about pay money to see her debate Pence.
Regarding Rice, I'm leery about what she brings to the table simply because in the minds of a lot of people Rice>>Benghazi>>Hillary, and the last thing I want is for this election to have anything to do with her. I imagine Rice would love the platform to attempt to correct the narrative, but every second spent re-litigating Benghazi is a second wasted that should be spent examining the vast corruption and incompetence of the Trump administration.
