After months of internal arguing among Democrats over whether to impeach President Donald Trump, the dam is finally breaking in favor of trying to remove him from office. The Washington Post reported that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would announce a formal impeachment inquiry on Tuesday, following a bombshell report that Trump illegally asked Ukraine’s government to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, one of his political opponents. (He essentially admitted to having done so over the weekend.)

“Now that we have the facts, we’re ready,” Pelosi said Tuesday morning at a forum hosted by The Atlantic. At 5 p.m. the same day, she was back with more. "The actions taken to date by the president have seriously violated the constitution, especially when the president says Article Two says I can do whatever I want," referring to the segment of the Constitution that defines the power of the executive branch of the government. Pelosi's message was that checks and balances of those branches are just as central to the Constitution. And one more thing: "Today, I am announcing the House of Representatives is moving forward with an official impeachment inquiry," she said at a conference broadcast on Twitter by the Huffington Post. ...

Local TV for the win. From my living room. However, I am about to lay down. I've seen enough of this for now.

That dude in the background is mean muggin hard.

I went grocery shopping any thing good happen? Like congress being dismembered and starting over? A meteorite? Jesus rose?

And the GOP is so stupid to bring Jordan in for their heavy hitter. Rep Ratcliffe is a so much more reasonable sounding and able to work the narrative better. Why not use your better people in the games that matter? It's like the two sides of this coin want to out moron each other somehow.
Yes, the more I listen to both of them, the more I think Ratcliffe is the only one that spins their story well.

But, he's struggling a bit now. Kent is clearly not giving a crap now, he must have been sitting there too long. He has no interest in playing in the political games by either side. Taylor tries to be diplomatic (he is an Ambassador..)

I found the quote from Kent that woke me up.

"You can't investigate corruption without pissing off corrupt people" Mr. Kent.

Yup. That's true, regardless of what you think about this investigation. Sorry for the TVP.

EDIT: @Andrus , that isn't in the filter. If it's too far, I can change it to ticking off. Sorry.

Also, Schiff lied in his opening statement saying that he didn't know the identity of the whistleblower when it's known that his staff met with Ciaramella. This is the guy that the Democrats are letting lead the impeachment because Nadler proved incompetent investigating Russia/Trump.

Here is a Politico article, expressing the opinion that the NY Times was correct in unmasking the "whistleblower":

And, the article from RealClear Investigations discussing the identity of the "whistleblower":

And, an article from today discussing Schiff's claim that he doesn't know the identity of the whistleblower:

None of that has anything to do with the facts of the impeachment case.

The whistleblower is irrelevant at this point.

You guys just use Ciaramella's name as fact. Until its released it isn't a fact.

mate we supposed to cover our eyes and pretend it isn’t there? I understand his web footprint has been being cleaned up for months, but the general public isn’t oblivious.
I don’t understand why the angst of keeping only 1 name of all the people involved in this quiet. It just stinks.

Cross examination is a powerful tool to get to the truth.

Of what? it doesn't matter (for impeachment) if the whistleblower made everything up and happened to guess right.

What matters is what the people testifying are saying.
