After months of internal arguing among Democrats over whether to impeach President Donald Trump, the dam is finally breaking in favor of trying to remove him from office. The Washington Post reported that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would announce a formal impeachment inquiry on Tuesday, following a bombshell report that Trump illegally asked Ukraine’s government to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, one of his political opponents. (He essentially admitted to having done so over the weekend.)

“Now that we have the facts, we’re ready,” Pelosi said Tuesday morning at a forum hosted by The Atlantic. At 5 p.m. the same day, she was back with more. "The actions taken to date by the president have seriously violated the constitution, especially when the president says Article Two says I can do whatever I want," referring to the segment of the Constitution that defines the power of the executive branch of the government. Pelosi's message was that checks and balances of those branches are just as central to the Constitution. And one more thing: "Today, I am announcing the House of Representatives is moving forward with an official impeachment inquiry," she said at a conference broadcast on Twitter by the Huffington Post. ...

You know what I find interesting from this timeframe.

In Feburary 2019 Funds are allocated in the US Federal Budget at Midnight of Feb 15, 2019. At this time the Ukrainian President is Petro Poroshenko

Ukraine has an election 2 months after the money is allocated to Ukraine to the then Petro Poroshenko. Ukraine gets a new president who did not and has not had any dealing with the USA yet. Volodymyr Zelinsky.

July 25 is the phone call.. Trump says "I would like you to do US a favor, because our country has been through a lot ..." It's interesting he doesn't ask for Zelenski to do HIM a favor, but US.

Now this is a brand new president who was NOT in office when the 2019 Budget was approved by Congress.

Aug 12 the whistleblower Complaint is filed.

Sept 1 - Two weeks later The Vice President Pence meets with Zelenski for the first time... This is the first meeting between any of our heads of state since the Ukrainian elections...

Sept 11 - Aid to Ukraine is released.

This is interesting... You know.. To me.. Just looking at this and my first thoughts...

Aid was promised to Ukraine and Another President... But dues to the election in Ukraine and a new president came into office... No Aid was promised him.. and the aid was not released until after one of our heads of state met with the new President ..

I tell ya... That is exactly what I would expect of The President of the USA to do. To not release any aid from this country until we knew exactly who and what the new president is...

So in light of this new evidence... Way to go Trump... Thanks more making sure that we didn't give 400 million to an unknown foreign leader. Plus one for Trump.

Just in case you are unaware, you might want to read the letter the DoD sent to various congressional committees in May. It details the actual efforts being made to address corruption.

Nope, Cause Roosevelt is already President. Same with Trump. But the funny part about it all is that Hunter Biden was in Ukraine.. Working... So Trump to ask the President to look into why a prosuter was fired is totally acceptable... Had Hunter Biden's Son been working in Turkey or Afganistan.. Then it would have been different... But since he was employed in Ukraine, it is totally acceptable for them to look into any possible corruption by the former administrations both Obamas and Petro Poroshenko's.

Come on, Joe. The prosecutor whose firing Biden helped to hasten was stalling investigations, including one into Burisma. Are you making the argument that Joe Biden was corruptly helping his son by firing the guy refusing to investigate Hunter's employer?

Dude, your own hypothetical had Roosevelt as U.S. President. The new President is in the foreign country, comprende?

So instead of answering my question, you're going to talk about Hunter Biden?

I'll make you a deal. Answer my question and I'll be happy to talk about Hunter Biden.

I'd actually like him to explain how Trump's conduct is acceptable before we let him change the subject to the Bidens.

Let me also ask you this, Joe?

Why is the only country Trump is interested in for "corruption" happen to have the Biden tie ? Don't you find that to be a bit odd given the narrative you're trying to build here?

December 11, 2019 must have really sucked for people like Comey and his arrogant cronies. For years they have been going on CNN and MSNBC gaslighting the American public - all the while they had to be having some sleepless nights knowing that the truth is out there, just waiting to be uncovered.

All this time they have had to watch Trump courageously ride out the storm. Trump has bided his time, and now it's just a methodical march to the finish line.

Lindsey Graham finished an awesome day with an ominous statement that Rosenstein should be aware that his time before the committee is coming soon. It's going to be interesting to see where Graham is going with that - maybe he intends to explore how Page's FISA app was leaked to the press.

AG Barr and Durham didn't just fire of statements without having a very good idea as to what they will be able to prove, it's gonna be one helluva reckoning.

It's actually somewhat amusing to see Joe complaining about Democrats not letting Trump do "work" when he spends half his time either holding rallies or watching Fox.
Original thoughts are not required to tow the party line. I actually wouldn't say it's half his time. Maybe 1/3 of his time is spent watching Fox or holding rallies. Another 1/3 is spent vacationing and playing golf on the tax payer dime....something else he and his supporters complained about with the last administration. That leaves about 1/3 left for actual work. However, 1/2 of that 1/3 is spent with Putin's hand squarely up his arse pulling the levers to subvert American interest.

It would be a hell of a reckoning if Trump didn’t obstruct everyone that could reveal the truth from testifying. The Trump administration is the most secretive administration in history. The reckoning will be the day Guliani, Page, Papadopoulis, and the rest of the crime family testifies. Comey is no friend to Democrats, but by all means get testimony from FBI agents. Their integrity will shine.

So you are saying repeatedly omitting exculpatory information is a pattern of bias?

In the end, this will mean nothing. It's going to go the exact same route as Clinton. Impeachment in the House and acquittal in the Senate.

Probably just serve to give Trump a bump in the election the same way it did for Clinton.

Which election did Clinton get a bump in? His impeachment trial began on Jan 7, 1999; and his second term ended on Jan 20, 2001.

And, unless I'm mistaken, his approval polls took a pretty big hit after that trial.

Your timeline leaves out two key facts:

--In May, the DOD completed an investigation, and certified that Ukraine had completed the steps required to address corruption in their country.
--Between that certification in May, and the July 25 phone call, ON AT LEAST 50 OCCASIONS, the White House signed of on releasing the aid.

So, if this was all about not being sure that the new president of Ukraine was an up and up guy, why did the White House approve the release of the aid more than 50 times between May and July?

Except that as a cohort, Boomers have been uniquely selfish. There may be a number of reasons for this. I personally blame lead poisoning.

This is certainly a popular narrative, but I’ve never had anyone be able to fully support it. How has the boomer generation been uniquely selfish? When did boomers ever do anything as a bloc? Boomers have been fighting among themselves about policy since the “crew cuts” literally fought the “hippies” in the street.

This is a great example of projection. There is a lot of gaslighting going on, sure, but it’s coming from Trump, Graham and Barr.

Let‘s step away from the partisan fantasies, shall we, and deal in some hard truths.

Comey is an arrogant man, absolutely. He did his country a great disservice when he treated two campaigns, both under investigation by the FBI, very differently. His actions, though, favored the Trump campaign, and it’s not even a close call. To cut him a little slack, he was faced with a really tough situation, and he will have to live with the consequences of his actions. To think he did anything criminal, though, is just laughable.

Trump has never been courageous in his life. He has never “bided his time”. He yaps and whelps like a puppy hit with a rolled up newspaper.

Lindsey Graham flops in the political wind like a sock puppet. Hard to take anything he says seriously.

According to sworn testimony from the IG, Durham’s famous “objection” to the predication of the investigation is that it should have been classified as “preliminary” rather than a full investigation. The fact is that the FBI didn’t do anything under the full investigation that wouldn’t have been permitted under the “preliminary“ label. Nothing.

Barr has been discredited by his statements and actions as AG. He’s unfit for his office. Durham’s release of a statement the other day also broke a long standing rule in the DOJ, much like Comey did during the 2016 election.

I don’t get what you’re saying. Are you postulating that there is exculpatory evidence that Pompeo et al could be providing, but that Trump is hiding it?

Dude, you are trying too hard.

The absolutely hilarious thing about this is the Republicans have been trying to sweep all this crap under a rug for years.

Now that the rope is completely around Trump's neck for him to hang himself and the party they want to scream from the highest building about what they were ignoring all along.

Yes the Orange's ha ha were not the deep state! The whole investigation was warranted. The report about the golden showers was after the investigation opened.

If you are banking on Barr and Graham Lord help ya.

That guy! You can impeach if it is not a crime guy? Watch that video and get back to me.

Thanks brother I needed a great laugh this morning.
