Supreme Court Allows Sandy Hook Families' Case Against Remington Arms To Proceed

The gun-maker had appealed to the highest federal court after the Connecticut Supreme Court allowed the lawsuit over the 2012 school massacre in Newtown, Conn., to go forward in March.

Interesting. I am not aware of any lawsuit against a gun manufacturer allowed to get past the initial stages of litigation. Perhaps there are some, but this case will be interesting to keep an eye on.

Apparently there have been more than a few lawsuits against gun manufacturers that have been successful.

It all hinges on the marketing. I haven't seen any of the advertising but the samples in the story are pretty bad. Remington is quite likely going to have to pay.

There isn't a secret cabal of gun manufacturers controling the justice system like John Grishams book/movie Runaway Jury. I'm surprised the SCOTUS didn't intervene.

Yeah, I didn’t read the current story but saw some of those ads a few months ago. They’re bad.
