So when does the Debate Arena become a thing?

What are plans/goals/parameters for what the Debate Arena is supposed to accomplish?

IMO, this was one of the more promising ideas for this site. Are there any updates?

The plans for it were listed in the announcement post on the old board. It appears that thus far those that did express interest in running that debate feature lost interest. The person that expressed the most interest hasn't even visited the site in 6 weeks. So the problem is finding someone (preferably a true moderate that is well reasoned and has debate experience) that wants to manage that feature.
