And before we get another pedantic rant from on top of a high horse, we all know that you are just pointing out that we can't trust anything that comes out of a Republican officials mouth on face value.

We all know you are not championing the alleged assassin in any kind of "progressive cause." Nothing you have said in any way indicates you think the alleged assassin shouldn't stand trial. You are only saying THE TRUTH that you can't take a Republicans word on anything anymore.
Yeah, I am just not interested in championing a DOJ that routinely lies. I am cognizant of their duplicity in all these other cases, and I don’t believe a word they say in this one.

Of course he should be prosecuted, but the prosecution shouldn’t hinge on something he didn’t do, and the prosecution shouldn’t lie about what happened.

If I were this man’s lawyer I would try to find out what discussions were had in the 48 hours after his brother reported his plans to the authorities. I would ask why didn’t they just pick him up and question him in those 48 hours. How did it happen that he was able to travel to a place they knew he was coming to and allowed to stay at the hotel and move freely about when they knew what he was planning to do?

There should be a general investigation into these questions, but there won’t be. Not with this admin in charge.

His legal team can investigate what happened in the 48 hours before and share it with the public at some point. I don't think it would be admitted at trial on the grounds of being irrelevant or immaterial or whatever the legal jargon is.

I would very much like to see them investigate and publicly release what they find.

Here's some news. CBS shows that the suspect shot his shot gun at the wounded officer at about one second into that fast moving video I stopped and looked at, at the point which that the video was about 1 1/2 seconds along, when I said it appeared that he was holding a hand gun.

The way he was carrying the shot gun, it appears more like a hand gun than it appears like a normal length shotgun. My guess is that the shot gun has had the shoulder rest part of the stock sawn off, making it into a pistol grip shotgun, reducing the overall length of the long gun by about 12 inches.

Apparently he had the shot gun loaded with solid slugs, not normal BB shot. Although I'm just guessing about that assuming that when they say the officers bullet proof vest protected him, that would imply a solid slug, not normal BB shot.

There is also a selfie taken by the suspect which displays his arsenal. This latest convinces me, the suspect is guilty of everything he's been charged with.

Now obviously I will not be on his jury, they will decide his innocence or guilt.
