Anxiety surges as Donald Trump may be indicted soon: Why 2024 is 'the final battle' and 'the big one'

WASHINGTON – It looks like American politics is entering a new age of anxiety, triggered by an unprecedented legal development: The potential indictment of a former president and current presidential candidate.

Donald Trump's many legal problems – and calls for protests by his followers – have generated new fears of political violence and anxiety about the unknowable impact all this will have on the already-tense 2024 presidential election

I’ll reframe this is a more accurate way, Are Presidents above the law? This new age was spurred into existence when home grown dummies elected a corrupt, mentally ill, anti-democratic, would be dictator as President and don’t bother to hold him responsible for his crimes, don’t want to because in the ensuing mayhem and destruction, they think they will be better off. The man is actually advocating violence (not the first time). And btw, screw democracy too. If this feeling spreads, we are In deep shirt.

This goes beyond one treasonous Peice of work and out to all his minions. This is on you or should we be sympathetic to the idea of they can’t help being selfish suckers to the Nation’s detriment? Donald Trump is the single largest individual threat to our democracy and it‘s all going to boil down to will the majority of the GOP return to his embrace and start slinging his excrement to support him?

Donald Trump's legal defense is expensive, and the invoices continue to pile up as the former president drains money from his political action committees to pay his attorneys. Trump has been using Save America, a super PAC he controls, to help pay for his legal bills, but after spending tens of millions of dollars on legal consulting, it may be running out of funds.

According to the latest campaign finance records, the Save America leadership PAC spent $4.6 million on legal bills for Trump and his associates in March while only bringing in $5 million last month. Trump's spending on legal bills amounted to a quarter of the total expenditures by his political action committees in March, The Washington Post reported.

So far this year, $16.7 million in funds from Trump's PACs have gone toward legal bills. At the end of last month, the PACs owed another $900,000 to legal firms. In total, Trump has expended approximately $86 million total in legal fees, according to The Post.

Last month, Trump claimed through his attorneys that he could not afford a $350 million appeal bond from his New York court case regarding his falsification of business records. Trump's attorneys wrote in a filing that the former president was unable to secure an agreement with an insurer to issue a court bond, in part because they said insurers were unwilling to accept Trump's real estate as collateral. In September, a court ruled that Trump used fraudulent practices to inflate the worth of his real estate assets........

They are still setting their donation pages to recurring donations monthly so if you don’t notice and uncheck the box they will take money from you every month.

He does seem to be more frenzied than usual. He claims he has no idea who Miles Taylor is, who was Chief of Staff of the DHS for most of his presidency? Come on.

So, I’m not super knowledgeable about how these things work, but if he had $175M in cash that he put up, why would he need the bonding company? Why would he pay a bonding company?

And people have the nerve to say Biden has mental issues. It’s extremely obvious who has issues between these two and it’s not Biden.

If he had $175,000,000 cash, he could have secured it in an escrow vehicle that most likely would have been sufficient.

If you obtained a bond, in any amount, and had to put up the EXACT same amount of the bond, in the form of premium, then you are risk that is about as bad as it gets.

I suspect that he is lying about having to put up $175,000,000 cash premium to obtain bond. Because he is so dumb to even know that a) that NEVER HAPPENS and b) if it WERE to HAPPEN, says all you need to know about is "financial well-being"

    what a dolt.

MIAMI (AP) — The social media company founded by former President Donald Trump applied for a business visa program that he sought to restrict during his administration and which many of his allies want him to curtail in a potential second term.

Trump Media & Technology Group, the company behind Truth Social, filed an application in June 2022 for an H-1B visa for a worker at a $65,000 annual salary, the lowest wage category allowed under the program. Federal immigration data shows the company was approved for a visa a few months later. The company says it did not hire the worker.

Filing for the visa sets the image of Trump the candidate, who has proposed a protectionist agenda for companies to “hire American,” in conflict with Trump the businessman, who has said his companies will use every tool at their disposal.

Records show the investment firm started by Trump’s son-in-law and White House adviser, Jared Kushner, also filed an application and was approved to hire a foreigner as an associate under the same visa program.……

Former president Donald Trump on Wednesday called a deadly neo-Nazi rally a “peanut” compared to current protests of the Israel-Gaza war — his latest downplaying of a 2017 white supremacist event in Charlottesville, over which Trump as president drew massive blowback for declaring that there were “very fine people on both sides.”

Trump noted in an evening social media post that President Biden had cited the violent event in Charlottesville as a major motivation to run for president against Trump. “Well, if that’s the case, he’s done a really terrible job because Charlottesville is like a ‘peanut’ compared to the riots and anti-Israel protests that are happening all over our Country, RIGHT NOW,” Trump wrote on his social media website Truth Social.

Politicians of both parties have recently raised alarms about incidents of antisemitism amid mass demonstrations criticizing Israel. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Wednesday visited Columbia University as college campus protests spread and led to arrests…….

Full of grace and gratitude as always
    ========================

Former President Trump late Wednesday swiped at his one-time attorney general, Bill Barr, after Barr said he would support the GOP presidential ticket despite his criticisms.

“Wow! Former A.G. Bill Barr, who let a lot of great people down by not investigating Voter Fraud in our Country, has just Endorsed me for President despite the fact that I called him ‘Weak, Slow Moving, Lethargic, Gutless, and Lazy’ (New York Post!),” Trump posted on Truth Social. “Based on the fact that I greatly appreciate his wholehearted Endorsement, I am removing the word ‘Lethargic’ from my statement. Thank you Bill.”
