Anxiety surges as Donald Trump may be indicted soon: Why 2024 is 'the final battle' and 'the big one'

WASHINGTON – It looks like American politics is entering a new age of anxiety, triggered by an unprecedented legal development: The potential indictment of a former president and current presidential candidate.

Donald Trump's many legal problems – and calls for protests by his followers – have generated new fears of political violence and anxiety about the unknowable impact all this will have on the already-tense 2024 presidential election

I’ll reframe this is a more accurate way, Are Presidents above the law? This new age was spurred into existence when home grown dummies elected a corrupt, mentally ill, anti-democratic, would be dictator as President and don’t bother to hold him responsible for his crimes, don’t want to because in the ensuing mayhem and destruction, they think they will be better off. The man is actually advocating violence (not the first time). And btw, screw democracy too. If this feeling spreads, we are In deep shirt.

This goes beyond one treasonous Peice of work and out to all his minions. This is on you or should we be sympathetic to the idea of they can’t help being selfish suckers to the Nation’s detriment? Donald Trump is the single largest individual threat to our democracy and it‘s all going to boil down to will the majority of the GOP return to his embrace and start slinging his excrement to support him?

This is stupid and funny, but there is a sinister side. It’s a loyalty test. Trump is forcing grown men to wear ill-fitting cheap shoes. Men who normally wear custom-fitted Italian made shoes are wearing $150 Florsheims that hurt their feet. They don’t want to wear these shoes, but they do it because he commanded it. They don’t like it but they don’t object. It’s debasing but they don’t object.

What else will they do without objecting? Who knows?
Seems like an intelligence test, too. If they're all identical, get with the others and swap until everyone has the right size. Or at least something close enough that a couple pairs of socks will snug it up.

Grown? My wife once found a book that talked about being a grown-up or a mere adult.

The group of sycophants wearing the shoes are not stupid. They are worse. They are morally bankrupt. They are mere adults being above a certain age. They are not grown up.

Besides all being Trump’s delusions for profit, this from the guy whose father never admired him, had to pay the college to give him a degree, a 6 times bankrupt loser in legitimate business who only found his success in conning little racists into making him The Head White Crook who is robbing them but they’re too racist to see it.

This article has clunky writing, but the gist is that DOJ dropped its defense of sanctions placed on individual law firms that had offended Trump. Reports are that lawyers at the DOJ didn’t like the case and didn’t want to defend it. DOJ conferred with WH counsel’s office and dripped their defense of the EO that had sanctioned the law firms. Trump found out about it and threw a fit, and now the DOJ is back to defending the President punishing specific law firms for taking cases he doesn’t like. They had to very publicly reverse themselves within 24 hours.

Just in case anyone thought there was any independence at all in the DOJ.

Yeah, I immediately thought of that story about Stalin. Great times we’re living in right?

So this popped up today on my old school playlist shuffle.

I had no idea in 1992, while blaring this out my subs, that these lyrics would be prescient 35 years later.

nd now, a word from the president
Damn it feels good to be a gangsta
Gettin' voted into the White House
Everything lookin' good to the people of the world
But the mafia family is my boss
So every now and then I owe a favor gettin' down
Like lettin' a big drug shipment through
And send 'em to the poor community
So we can bust you know who
So voters of the world keep supportin' me
And I promise to take you very far
Other leaders better not upset me
Or I'll send a million troops to die at war
To all you Republicans, that helped me win
I'd sincerely like to thank you
'Cause now I got the world swingin' from my nuts
And damn it feels good to be a gangsta
