Anxiety surges as Donald Trump may be indicted soon: Why 2024 is 'the final battle' and 'the big one'

WASHINGTON – It looks like American politics is entering a new age of anxiety, triggered by an unprecedented legal development: The potential indictment of a former president and current presidential candidate.

Donald Trump's many legal problems – and calls for protests by his followers – have generated new fears of political violence and anxiety about the unknowable impact all this will have on the already-tense 2024 presidential election

I’ll reframe this is a more accurate way, Are Presidents above the law? This new age was spurred into existence when home grown dummies elected a corrupt, mentally ill, anti-democratic, would be dictator as President and don’t bother to hold him responsible for his crimes, don’t want to because in the ensuing mayhem and destruction, they think they will be better off. The man is actually advocating violence (not the first time). And btw, screw democracy too. If this feeling spreads, we are In deep shirt.

This goes beyond one treasonous Peice of work and out to all his minions. This is on you or should we be sympathetic to the idea of they can’t help being selfish suckers to the Nation’s detriment? Donald Trump is the single largest individual threat to our democracy and it‘s all going to boil down to will the majority of the GOP return to his embrace and start slinging his excrement to support him?

Agreed. But the government could still try to shut down sites by labeling them as sources of “misinformation.” Whether that tactic would hold up in the Supreme Court is anyone’s guess. The Court has already allowed other blatantly unconstitutional actions to stand — so at this point, nothing can be ruled out.
They could take those actions and I acknowledge it would be a problem. I just think the backlash would defeat them just like it did with prohibition. Another thing that would defeat them can be seen in the fight against piracy sites. Eliminating piracy sites has been a losing battle, because for every site that gets pulled down or blocked several others pop up. It's like if when playing whack-a-mole every time you whacked-a-mole several others popped up instead of just one.

Even if they could successfully block sites, people could share the information person-to-person/peer-to-peer through strongly encrypted private messaging apps and torrents. They could share it through offshore based encrypted cloud storage services as well. They could also share it in online gaming and virtual reality worlds. Then all of that information can be shared in person with other people via phones, tablets and/or computers. The good thing about suppressed information is that people believe it and find it 100% credible, so any shared information would have an increased impact.

It’s a NARA facility in College Park Maryland.

“The National Archives at College Park(also known as "Archives II") is a major facility of the National Archives and Records Administration of the United States which is located in College Park, Maryland. The facility serves as the primary base of operations for the bulk of the senior offices[1] within the organization of the National Archives. The facility operates in tandem with the National Archives Buildingin Washington, D.C. which serves as the ceremonial[1] headquarters of the National Archives in that this is where the Archivist of the United States maintains their primary office.”

It’s to stop drop in off the street traffic. The legit business need is research. They have a very controlled process in place for people with a need to access the records they store.

Pakistan has announced its intention to recommend Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, citing his role in de-escalating the recent conflict between India and Pakistan.

The accolade is one President Trump has openly expressed a desire for, having previously lamented a perceived lack of credit for his diplomatic efforts.

The nomination stems from President Trump's intervention in May, which saw a surprise ceasefire announcement bring an abrupt end to a four-day confrontation between the nuclear-armed neighbours.

President Trump has since repeatedly claimed that his actions averted a nuclear war and saved millions of lives.……..

Nothing in the link you provided and quoted says "it's to stop drop in off the street traffic," "the legit business need is research," or "they have a very controlled process in place." Once again you're pedaling bullshirt that you're trying to fool people into thinking is fact.

And once again, you shot your own bullshirt cover story and excuse in the foot. If they already have "a very controlled process in place" then they wouldn't have a problem with "drop in off the street traffic" and they wouldn't need to suddenly and severely restrict access. They're doing this because they're panicked about getting exposed. This won't stop them from getting exposed.

You're really, really bad at trying to make excuses for and give cover to tyrant Trump and your fellow supporters. By all means, please keep shoveling, because you're constantly doing much more damage than damage control. Nobody who isn't already a diehard member of team tyrant Trump is going to buy what you're shoveling, but you are sending more folks who are on the fence over to the light side and away from the dark side.

Bull shirt. They could make it available to the public and still stop “drop in off the street traffic”. That doesn’t even make any sense.

Why do you excuse everything this admin does?

    Another setback for tyrant Trump.

A federal judge on Tuesday blocked Republican President Donald Trump's administration from eliminating union bargaining for hundreds of thousands of federal workers at 21 agencies.
U.S. District Judge James Donato in San Francisco agreed with the American Federation of Government Employees and other unions that Trump's March 27 executive order exempting many federal agencies from obligations to bargain with unions was likely illegal.
