Anxiety surges as Donald Trump may be indicted soon: Why 2024 is 'the final battle' and 'the big one'

WASHINGTON – It looks like American politics is entering a new age of anxiety, triggered by an unprecedented legal development: The potential indictment of a former president and current presidential candidate.

Donald Trump's many legal problems – and calls for protests by his followers – have generated new fears of political violence and anxiety about the unknowable impact all this will have on the already-tense 2024 presidential election

I’ll reframe this is a more accurate way, Are Presidents above the law? This new age was spurred into existence when home grown dummies elected a corrupt, mentally ill, anti-democratic, would be dictator as President and don’t bother to hold him responsible for his crimes, don’t want to because in the ensuing mayhem and destruction, they think they will be better off. The man is actually advocating violence (not the first time). And btw, screw democracy too. If this feeling spreads, we are In deep shirt.

This goes beyond one treasonous Peice of work and out to all his minions. This is on you or should we be sympathetic to the idea of they can’t help being selfish suckers to the Nation’s detriment? Donald Trump is the single largest individual threat to our democracy and it‘s all going to boil down to will the majority of the GOP return to his embrace and start slinging his excrement to support him?

Of course he would say that. Nothing is more important to Trump than Trump. We know this from his feeble Covid response and his incitement of an insurrection where over 1,000 people have their lives ruined because he didn’t want to admit he lost an election.

That misses the more important part. He also said that the economy right now is running on the fumes of what he started when he was president.

That means that all of the things they have been complaining about, like high inflation, were a result of what Trump did as president…by his own words

Truth is whatever Trump says it is. This is central to the cult.

    this isn't pretentious at all

    It’s not merely pretentious though.

I encourage people to look into how events that lead up to the mass murder in Rwanda unfolded. Events are unfolding in a very similar way here. The calls to mass murder Tutsi people were literally broadcast over radio stations during the arming and organizing process. People thought it was just blow hard rhetoric not to be taken seriously.

If Trump gave the order, and I have no doubt he will at some point win or lose the election, a substantial and well armed group of people will literally take to the streets to commit mass murder. We need to understand they are being completely sincere and we need to act accordingly. I don't doubt for a second these guys took notice of the Hamas attack and some are planning and preparing to do the equivalent here.

Believe people when they tell you who they are and what they are going to do, especially if they are legally heavily armed.

In order to get people to actually carry out the genocide, you have to dehumanize the other to the point that mass murder feels like genocide is the right thing to do.

How do you dehumanize someone to that point?

You could accuse them of pedophilia, for a start.

Somebody wants to make it look like Trump is sympathetic to young black men who don’t actually exist. This is so desperate. As someone in the comments said - Once AI figures out hands, we’re in trouble.

Exactly. The dehumanizing and call to murder go hand in hand. The video of the guy, that made the Trump "was god made" video, uses the whole slate of right wing dehumanizing terms to describe the people he says "we're just hanging out at home waiting for the order to kill and when we do, it'll be over in an hour."

This isn't just an organic collective of blow hard individuals putting out the message to murder the dehumanized. It's obviously being coordinated and orchestrated. It's obviously got deep pockets behind it. There is clearly a group of people that are sincerely planning to kick off a fascist, mass murder power grab. This is not a drill.

Trump's preying on modern fears. He knows there is a lot of genuine angst about AI, especially about losing jobs to them. He's trying to add that to his portfolio of fears to exploit. In typical Trump fashion, he's being hypocritical, because his campaign has been using AI of various forms starting with his 2016 campaign.

Because the judge wouldn’t let Trump turn the closing into a campaign speech or one of his unhinged truth social rants

    NEW YORK (AP) —

Donald Trump won’t make his own closing argument in his New York civil business fraud trial after his lawyers objected to the judge’s insistence that the former president would stick to “relevant” matters.

Judge Arthur Engoron rescinded permission on Wednesday, a day ahead of closing arguments in the trial.

The trial could cost Trump hundreds of millions of dollars in penalties and strip him of his ability to do business in New York. His lawyers had signaled Thursday that he planned to take the extraordinary step of delivering a summation personally, in addition to arguments from his legal team.…..

anymore I doubt he could stick to ordering at McDonalds without telling the cashier he won the election.
