Anxiety surges as Donald Trump may be indicted soon: Why 2024 is 'the final battle' and 'the big one'

WASHINGTON – It looks like American politics is entering a new age of anxiety, triggered by an unprecedented legal development: The potential indictment of a former president and current presidential candidate.

Donald Trump's many legal problems – and calls for protests by his followers – have generated new fears of political violence and anxiety about the unknowable impact all this will have on the already-tense 2024 presidential election

I’ll reframe this is a more accurate way, Are Presidents above the law? This new age was spurred into existence when home grown dummies elected a corrupt, mentally ill, anti-democratic, would be dictator as President and don’t bother to hold him responsible for his crimes, don’t want to because in the ensuing mayhem and destruction, they think they will be better off. The man is actually advocating violence (not the first time). And btw, screw democracy too. If this feeling spreads, we are In deep shirt.

This goes beyond one treasonous Peice of work and out to all his minions. This is on you or should we be sympathetic to the idea of they can’t help being selfish suckers to the Nation’s detriment? Donald Trump is the single largest individual threat to our democracy and it‘s all going to boil down to will the majority of the GOP return to his embrace and start slinging his excrement to support him?

I actually think Dems should do this. Just walk out in a calm and dignified manner. Worth it to see Trump’s face go red with anger

Edit: evidently the post he is responding to isn’t going to show up here. It said they thought that Dems should all attend the SOTU, wait until his second sentence and then walk out en masse.

Not just that. I read something about two Dem members of congress skipping the speech and holding town halls in their districts instead.

Every state-elected Dem should be holding town halls in red House districts in their states. Every single one. And emphasis on those 2 or 3 districts that will have special elections soon.

I’m not sure they are organized enough to seize this moment, sadly.

the thing is trump has now fully embraced Putin. he has given Putin everything he wants with no payment. So how do Christian nationalsts benefit from him submitting to Putin or is it that they will tolerate it to get what they want??

The far right has a Putin fetish, so I'm sure they're fine with it...

Sixty-nine percent of Republican voters who support U.S. President Donald Trump consider Russia an aggressor, while 83 percent do not support Kremlin ruler Vladimir Putin, according to a survey by the Razom for Ukraine non-profit organization, reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

Trump is fighting a losing battle here. This is good news.

Trump is slowly chipping away at Republican's view of the world, so soon they'll be almost completely remade. Today they are protectionists, isolationists, misogynists, anti-immigrant, anti-science, anti-educated, and anti-vaccine. Reagan Republicans were free-traders, defenders of Democracy, proponents of American immigration, proponents of higher education, and supported science of all kinds, except maybe tobacco. Republicans were moving away from science and immigration before Trump, but he finished the job, and he has converted most of the party on trade, democracy, higher education and women's rights.

perhaps, but we'll see. I posted a comment earlier from Newell Normand. He's a very conservative radio host on
WWL radio. His show runs from 10am to 1 pm. I occasionally listen on my way to work. He said he saw a similar
poll and if Trump doesn't change his views on Putin and Ukraine he's going to lose a lot of support and possibly
cause the Republicans to lose the House and Senate in the midterms. If that happens Trump is essentially neutered.

I certainly hope this to be the case.

$5 a dozen: major egg companies may be using avian flu to hike US prices, new report finds

Of course they are. If we had a functioning government, they would be working on that. But we don’t.

No way they would do that.

Remember when Trump pulled some strings to get 2 sex traffickers returned to the US? Well, Florida may have plans for them.

For all the talk about Democrats being NPCs, Republicans not saying a word about this shows who the real NPC's are in this country. Trump constantly rants about criminal immigrants, and then he does this high profile show of hypocrisy.

It's literally whatever Dear Leader tell us to think. This is 1984 type of stuff.
