Either the Bible is historical or it is not. A small example of the problem comes the Noah myth. We are told that Noah was to call the animals two by two, male and female. Then we are told that he is to take 7 pairs of all clean animals when the dietary laws do not occur until after Moses. So which is it? Furthermore, regarding the Exodus occurred in 1400’s BCE. Oddly enough the Egyptian New Kingdom stretched in to the Near East including clashing with the ruler of what is Syria today. it seems the Hebrews did not leave Egypt rather the Egyptians left the Near East.

The bible is not history despite claims that it is.

No. Literally nothing in the bible took place as described. Nothing. The writers name dropping a few places doesn't give credence to the mythology that it spins. Is Spider-man real because Manhattan exists? Is Captain America real because he was depicted punching Adolph Hitler, who was real?

Biblical maximalists tend to work backwards -- they "know" their conclusion is accurate (because the bible tells them so, or their funding and careers depend on arriving at that predetermined conclusion), so they work backwards and cherry pick what supports their conclusion, but they have to ignore an awful lot of evidence to the contrary.

But beyond the settings used for the stories, the events depicted are mythology. The patriarchs are recognized as mythological figures who didn't exist. There may have been a David, but if so he and his kingdom were nothing like what was depicted. Even the new testament is completely unsupported outside of the bible. There's no contemporary evidence of Jesus and his ministry, so even if a Jesus did exist, he was so insignificant as to avoid notice during his lifetime and there is no supporting evidence for any of his activities or supposed miracles.

Speaking of the Exodus, if Dr. Hoffmeier is confirming it, he is downright lying. There is no physical evidence whatsoever than millions of people were walking in circles in a very small area (look at the map) for 40 years. And small area it is: a few years ago, a JW apostate walked from Egypt to Israel, and it took him 2 weeks, just following the coast.
