I posted something on the Trump VP thread that Pekka did on X ( twitter thread ) that "touched" on briefly his employment w. Theil then eventual bankrolling of his campagin by Theil.

he concluded that Trump selecting Vance was out of need for cash to bank for election run. ( large donors )

I am reading The Bill Gates Problem: Reckoning with the Myth of the Good Billionaire. While I don’t cast Theil as a “good” billionaire the case applies because the bulk of these guys are inherently anti-democracy and they suffer from thinking that because they were successful in business they are experts in all kinds of things.
