I hope that it occurs to the defendant that, while he does have a right to express his political beliefs, he does not get to use the first amendment to threaten people's lives.

If he doesn't understand that, he should stay in prison.
 
Forgive me for the cross-pollination of threads, but it reminds me of the striking difference between the testimonies of oh, say, Sondland and Yovanovitch.
