If you changed your handle from what is was on SR, let it be known here what it was on the old board so we don't need to guess who you were there. (1 Viewer)

    Hi, I'm @insidejob. I didn't change my handle.

@Beach Friends @Intensesaint @Lazybones and the rest of the Trumpeteers, etc., please let us know what your handle was on SR so we can have a fuller understanding of your positions from the past 5 years.

This will help with expediting replies based on past posting history.

Good talking to you all, as always. insidejob.

the principal said that we shouldn’t bring up peoples past posting history. My positions haven’t changed since my career began out of college. I went from being a hippie socialist, to realizing that people that I hung around with would rather sit around and complain about the rich people instead of getting off their arse and making sacrifices. I decided to become one of the people they hated so much.
Funny thing is that I am still friends with all of them. The difference is that most of them have masters degrees, college professors and are still broke 25+ years later. All the while still griping about the rich.

It's not about bringing up past posting histories. It's about understanding who we're talking to after talking with them for 5 years on the old board. Having to ask questions that we'd already know the answer to if we just knew each others' old handle would make things much easier.

And the entire PDB is archived anyway so it isn't like we can't just pull that up instead of talking about posts from that board if we're so inclined.

I don't see why people would find it necessary to hide behind a new handle - and not reveal their old one - if they're actually here for honest discussion.

I swapped the first letter of the first word in my name with the first letter of the second word in my name.

I don't see this as anything useful. If people wanted a fresh start, then so be it.

Not like a few aren't obvious anyway.

I'm the same. However, it is kind of confusing b/c I don't know who actually came over from the PDB... avatars have changed too so most are pretty unrecognizable w/ different names now. I feel like at least half who regularly participated on PDB didn't make new accounts over here...
