I've started a separate thread for this — not just out of respect for the victims, but to ensure these hate crimes aren't lost in a general discussion. They deserve to be seen and acknowledged.
It wasn’t clear which existing thread this belonged in — sadly, it could’ve fit too many. And I fear this thread may grow far longer than any of us would hope.

This post was from Twitter, screen shot on Blue Sky by someone who doesn’t want their posts shared.

More interesting connections. It really feels like Eric Prince via Flynn is operating in the shadows of this administration.

That’s exactly what MAGA did. They showed up, voted, and built power from the ground up — even starting with school boards and library boards. We need to do the same: invest in local engagement, build sustainable political infrastructure, and organize everywhere — even in deep red states.
Democratic leadership has shown the lack of spine to do so (looking at you Schumer and Senate Democrats). The rest of us need to show the wherewithall to replace them.

Well the rest of you should start on the local level. School boards/election boards/City councils

Experience has shown that especially election boards are critical.

Which didn’t stop a sitting US senator from making the post below, which is worthy of censure, IMO.

He wasn't finished...guess he needed more likes!

He will be cheered on by both his elected party members and their voters while they attempt to censure Sen Padilla for his "attack" on DHS Barbie.

    It's the Republican way!

Yeah, on Reddit the MAGA idiots are all over the Walz connection. Using it to deny he is one of their own kind. Very predictable behavior. Oh, they are also saying it was a hit from Democrats against them, probably Walz himself.

This is what they do. Lie and lie some more. They are all despicable people.

And this right here - Trump - is why it happened in the first place. The nobody in the GOP will stand up and say that Trump is wrong for talking this way. In fact they trip over themselves to follow Trump’s lead. Never forget what the GOP has become.

I can hear a bunch of Republicans gathered together listening to reports of the murders and attempted murders and devotedly proclaiming in unison, "this is the way."

I swear this has to be a good bunch of them.

I have a bunch of former friends (I say former because we don't hang out with them anymore) who when we would all get together, Trump is all they would talk about. It got to the point to where they would work themselves up into a tizzy. Any counterpoint to anything they wold say would be met with hatred.

So I can totally see this happening.

    "His name was Robert Paulson."

    literally can't help himself
    ===================

...........The Republican president meanwhile could not muster harsher condemnation for the suspected shooter or even the attack itself than he could for Walz, his former opponent. Trump instead revealed his continued grudge against Walz, who was Kamala Harris’s running mate in the 2024 election, on Sunday.

Of the attack, he said: “Well, it's a terrible thing.”

Then, he immediately continued: “I think he's a terrible governor. I think he's a grossly incompetent person.”

Trump said he “may” call Walz and “other people, too” as he continues stubbornly to direct his administration in a bitter effort to provoke turf wars with state-level Democratic leaders, largely centered around his mass deportation plan..............

Not a single ounce of self-reflection on why MAGA is turning into assassins.
