Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina, the richest woman in Russia and the widow of Yury Luzhkov, the former mayor of Moscow, Senate Republicans revealed in their report on the younger Biden’s work in Ukraine.

Baturina is referenced in the 87-page report, which was released Wednesday, addressing her payment to Biden’s investment firm in early 2014.

“Baturina became Russia’s only female billionaire when her plastics company, Inteko, received a series of Moscow municipal contracts while her husband was mayor,” it said in providing background on the businesswoman.

The report described her involvement with Biden as “a financial relationship,” but declined to delve deeper into why the wire transfer was made.

The probe also found that Baturina sent 11 wires transfers between May and December 2015 to a bank account belonging to BAK USA, a tech startup that filed for bankruptcy in March 2019.

Nine of those 11 wire transfers were first sent to Rosemont Seneca Partners, the investment firm founded by Biden and Chris Heinz, stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry, before being transferred to BAK USA.

We all know their is massive corruption on both sides of the aisle. Here is an alleged allegation against Hunter Biden who was allegedly enriching himself because his Dad was Vice President.

Joe Biden was “the brand” used to send “signals” of power, access, and influence.
Okay, that was what Hunter did. We all knew that. Joe didn’t participate. This is rich coming from people who have zero issue with the Trump brand being used by Trump’s children, one of whom was part of the administration, all over the world during his presidency.

Then Vice President Joe Biden attended dinners with Hunter Biden’s foreign business associates who wired money to Biden associated LLCs (odd that is just says “Biden associated” and not “Hunter Biden associated. You’d think they would want to get that right)
2 dinners at which maybe a couple of Hunter’s business associates attended, along with other varied people. One was a birthday dinner and one was a charity dinner. Witness did not recall any business discussions. And yeah, Hunter was getting paid by his business ventures during this time, lol.

Then vice president Joe Biden spoke with Hunter Bidens business associates by speaker phone.
No, that was not the testimony as I recall it. Hunter spoke with his dad in front of some business associates. Sometimes on speaker but not always. It was specifically testified that no business was discussed.

Burisma executives requested Gunter Biden to get “help from D.C.” to address “government pressure.”
Yes, not just Hunter but Hunter and another associate called “DC”. Burisma had a law firm and a lobbying firm on retainer in DC at the time, and when they all spoke about talking to their DC team, that was who they were referencing.

This is all incredibly dishonest of them. It is really outside of the normal political spin and enters willful defamation territory, in my non-legal opinion.

You might want to let them know it didn’t go well. According to the oversight committee website where the transcript is posted:

—Joe Biden was “the brand” used to send “signals” of power, access, and influence.
—Then Vice President Joe Biden attended dinners with Hunter Biden’s foreign business associates who wired money to Biden associated LLCs (odd that is just says “Biden associated” and not “Hunter Biden associated. You’d think they would want to get that right)

    Except...

"The brand" was admittedly just an illusion of influence that Hunter admitted to Archer he didn't really have.

The dinners weren't business meetings and Archer confirmed business wasn't discussed.

On the phone call(s) Archer again confirmed there was no discussion of business, just Hunter showing off his dad to his cronies.

"Help from D.C." meant Burisma's legal team in DC, not Joe Biden.

    Damn, beat me to it!

Wherein Comer admits that he is pushing what amounts to basically Q conspiracy theories about Hunter Biden:

No, I knew her clerk made the accusation, and I suppose it makes sense for the judge to take the side of her own clerk.

Honestly, I will probably bow out of this whole conversation. It’s incredibly stupid to begin with to devote all this time to this when we have actual unprecedented stuff going on with Trump. It’s just playing into SFL’s goal to divert all the attention away from the complete scumbag that is Trump. And if he and his follows on Twitter have to make up crazy conspiracies to do so, they don’t care. I just saw this graph on Twitter and it really says it all:

June 7: FBI releases documents to Congress alleging the Bidens took a $10M bribe from Burisma.
June 8: Jack Smith indicts Trump in Mar-a-Lago docs case.

July 26: Hunter Biden goes to court and rejects sweetheart plea deal after it was revealed DOJ tried to give him blanket immunity from future prosecutions.
July 27: Jack Smith adds more charges for Trump in the Mar-a-lago case.

July 31: Hunter Biden's former business partner testifies to Congress that Joe Biden was on over 20 calls with his son's business partners and that Burisma execs pressured them to fire the prosecutor
August 1: Jack Smith indicts Trump again for January 6.

Um, the urging to fire the prosecutor was due to the fact that HE WASN’T DOING HIS JOB.

Actually come up with something that hasn’t been debunked for once.

Your false god, Donald Trump aka The Velveeta Vulgarian™️ (thanks to Shower Cap’s blog), is going down.

In your imaginary world, can a prosecutor indict someone without any preparation, without calling a grand jury, without presenting testimony to said grand jury and without allowing the grand jury to deliberate however long they need?

You’ve posted some doozies, but this one may be your most ridiculous yet. 🤦‍♀️

First Kayleigh lied on Fox and said she watched the Archer interview, now Comer is lying about it. Why do they lie about stuff that can so easily be refuted?

But Langworthy’s stumble reveals the actual truth: Republicans have nothing on Biden. The reason they keep pushing forward is because they are looking for something to actually substantiate their allegations.

I don't think ever finding wrongdoing is what this is really about, or even matters to them. They just need to create the illusion of wrongdoing to muddy the perception of Trump's criminality, and to set the foundation that "the other side" is "just as bad/worse" so they can operate with greater impunity and distract their supporters with something they can rally around. Republicans are willing to break every single pillar of our system to maintain power. Their motives are entirely that malicious and self-serving.

This is stupid by Garland. He shouldn't have approved this. There is nothing about this case that required a special council appointment.

I guess now we'll have a special council anytime Republicans throw a hissy fit over nonexistent conspiracies.

They're also saying they've reached an impasse in the plea negotiation and that it probably will not be resolved prior to trial.. which I'm not surprised to hear.
