Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina, the richest woman in Russia and the widow of Yury Luzhkov, the former mayor of Moscow, Senate Republicans revealed in their report on the younger Biden’s work in Ukraine.

Baturina is referenced in the 87-page report, which was released Wednesday, addressing her payment to Biden’s investment firm in early 2014.

“Baturina became Russia’s only female billionaire when her plastics company, Inteko, received a series of Moscow municipal contracts while her husband was mayor,” it said in providing background on the businesswoman.

The report described her involvement with Biden as “a financial relationship,” but declined to delve deeper into why the wire transfer was made.

The probe also found that Baturina sent 11 wires transfers between May and December 2015 to a bank account belonging to BAK USA, a tech startup that filed for bankruptcy in March 2019.

Nine of those 11 wire transfers were first sent to Rosemont Seneca Partners, the investment firm founded by Biden and Chris Heinz, stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry, before being transferred to BAK USA.

We all know their is massive corruption on both sides of the aisle. Here is an alleged allegation against Hunter Biden who was allegedly enriching himself because his Dad was Vice President.

I try. I really do. It’s hard when I have to constantly defend/qualify that I’m not some scary secret Trump mole every time I’m not singing the praises of the DNC or blaming the Orange Avenger for any and everything wrong with the world.

This is more of the same, though. The implication is that everyone else here - or at least those you need to “constantly defend/qualify” yourself against - must belong to one of the two poles you’re referring to.

you are critical and independent while they must adhere unquestioningly to some polar ideology

so even in this attempted clarification you’re still finding a way not to give other folks much credit -as if criticism of your posts Somehow must be the product of that polar adherence and can’t come from a place of legitimacy

I don’t know how you can’t see that this works against exactly what you say you’re trying to do/be.

the fact is that people who are critical seem to be making reasonable and logical
Arguments in at least some cases, but here you categorically dismiss them as “well, they just don’t get it because they fall into one of these two extreme camps”

I mean, you could have made your point without such extreme categorization but in doing so it seems to me that you’re undermining yourself.

With all that being said, I do think Infoman needs to be a part of this community, he has a unique point of view and he could add to the discussions if he would be willing to.

This seems like as good a place as any to raise this topic. Trump is using federal programs with federal tax dollars in support of his election in unprecedented ways.

He has been doing this forever. They have administration people openly working on the campaign and have had since the beginning as far as I can tell. It’s just a continuation of his grift, like having military aircraft stop at his properties, or getting foreign nationals to book large numbers of rooms at his DC hotel. Or even visiting his own properties nearly every week and charging high fees to his SS detail, or bringing foreign dignitaries to his properties, or suggesting that his property host the G7, ad nauseum.

There is nobody who evidently can stop him.

He's going to lose this election. He had managed to cobble together some momentum at the end of the summer, but he has squandered that - mostly by being himself. I don't think he's listening to anybody anymore, just going on his own grotesque instinct and awful judgment.

I'm ready to go on record that Donald Trump will not be president on January 21, 2021.

I'm not there yet. I don't trust the morality, ethics, intelligence, or decency of the American people anymore.

I won't believe it is over until I see a new President sworn in. Until then I'll still believe his minions, who have absolutely no moral boundaries, will find a way to keep Dear Leader in power.

Too much of our system is based on respect for traditions and norms. What we've learned is our government is extremely vulnerable to people that don't believe in them, and enough of the American population will go along with it to allow them to do anything. We are about to see just how much of our electoral process is propped up by traditions and norms. I suspect it's more than we care to admit.

Frontline last night had a great piece on Trump and Biden ( 2 hrs )

Trump learned all he knows from 3 people...Fred Trump, Roy Cohn and this pastor Norman Vincent Peale who wrote a book and preached about the power of positive thinking. And how, no matter what you face, if you continue to think positively, then its positive.

Its the crux of Donald Trump and how he views the rest of the world. He has created his own reality and only he can see it. Its why when faced with absolute fact, he pivots to positivity by denouncing whomever presented the facts.

One said in Trumps world if your facts agree with him, you are a genius. If they go against him, you are a loser/idiot.

Now think of some of the things he has said over the past several years " i know more than the Generals or i know more than the scientists" . This is the playbook. He has lived it his entire life.

And i agree - he will not be POTUS come 1/21/2021. And it wont be close.

That's fair for sure. I do think that the bigger the margin gets, the harder it will be for shenanigans. That's why it's really important for the Biden camp, Biden supporters, and the whole anti-Trump movement to keep pushing hard through election day and beyond.

It's much easier to play dirty when the margins are close.

And, yet, all of us need to be concerned that he still WILL BE president from November 4th, 2020 until January 20th, 2021. That's when all of us will need to be our most vigilant.

He will be president until January 19th. He will resign one day before inauguration so Pence can pardon him.

So what happened to the supposed FBI subpoena for the laptop in question? I know I saw a picture of it yesterday in this thread offered up as “proof”, but now it’s gone. I saw a tweet saying that the serial number of the Mac on this “document” indicated it was for a Mac manufactured after the laptop in question was supposedly dropped off at the repair shop. I wanted to see if I could verify it by looking up the serial number myself. (Edit, after seeing the tweet again it was the hard drive serial number rather than the Mac serial number that was not possible except for time travel).

Since that post is gone, I have to assume that it was a bogus document. If someone knows that to be true they could chime in and confirm it. That would be helpful.

I can't believe that Rudy would leave all these obvious tells. It is almost like he's not the smartest tool in the shed.

This is the dude who butt-dialed an NBC reporter and left a VM where he could be heard discussing the need for 200k cash in the same conversation about trashing the Bidens, so...

I was pretty sure that the president can pardon someone before they are charged with a crime. Was Nixon ever charged with anything before Ford pardoned him?
Oops.. forgot about that. Even though, he already had some charges or subpoenas.

    But yeah, I'm wrong here.

He can't be pardoned for crimes committed after the pardon, but he can be pardoned preemptively for any federal crime that occurred prior to the pardon.

    I think.
